Wouldn't selling the ocean seal make you lose funds? I thought selling did that anyways... |

I personally would have no idea, but is that because items sell for half their value, meaning anything you sell reduces funds because the overall value total actually drops despite spendble gold raising? |

Selling the Ocean Seal instead of holding on to it = -25KG. You want to let it rot in supply so you don't lose value. Same with Gems and the Fell Contract. The best thing you can do for Funds beyond saving valuable items you're not using in Hard Mode is to buy everything you need with the Silver Card; not only do you have more actual spending money for more flexibility in future purchases (as opposed to, say, 1000G's worth in weaponry), you're also boosting your Funds rank; with an Iron Sword, for instance, you're getting a 460G value for 230G, so you boosted Funds by 230G. |

Someone explain to me exactly how each rank works. Selling items hurt your funds rating
? And how exactly does the EXP rank work? Same with tactics.

Tactics- The amount of turns taken. Taking sidequests bumps the limit up. Combat- The ratio of wins and battles. Experience- The amount of Experience gained as a whole Funds- the ratio(I think) of the worth of your possessions and the money you spent. Selling items makes this go down because you sell items for half their value. Survival- Depends on characters that survived or died. |

Survival: Characters that survived; you lose some if characters die. Dead obvious, but what can I say? Funds is total value of all items plus money in hand; Ocean Seal is worth 50kG, so you lose 25kG if you sell it, since you lost a 50kG value item and got 25kG for it. |

Question about Funds: Even if you get an item for free out of a chest or something, and you sell it, that hurts your funds? |

Compared to holding onto it, yes. Based on what I've been reading funds is basically the total value of everything in your inventory, selling an items halve the value it was worth because they sell at 50% their total value. |

If you have 3000G and get an item worth 10000G, your current worth in items would be 13000G. If you sold that item, you would get 3000G+5000G= 8000G, which is less than 13000G. So you just lost 5000G. When we say your funds is hurt, we don't mean that selling items will suddenly make your funds rank drop- selling the item will drop your funds down, which will end up dropping your funds rank down. |

Funds or Survival? For Funds, you need like 695k to get 5 stars (in HHM anyway). Perhaps check your assets in the Battle History? |

Ehe. I S ranked EEM, I don't have my cart with me at the moment. I never do, spreading the good word of FE often involves lending my cartridges out for weeks on end...

So using more expensive items hurts your funds as well? What about selling White Gems and things? |

Yes and yes. White Gems have a worth of 10k. Selling them gives you 5k, so... One more example- say the requirement to get 5 stars is to have more than 600k in assets (gold and items). You have 200k and items worth 400k in total, giving you 600k in assets. If you cleared the game you'd get 5 stars. However if you sold all the items, you'd just have 500k, which isn't enough for 5 stars. Using expensive items is the same as selling them, except you don't get any money back... Once you get the S Rank weapons (not the Divine ones), don't use them since they're worth around 10k+ each (in fact, they give 150k, which is around 20% of the amount needed to get 5 stars). |
