Which units?

Barth's HP is ridiculous since it has 100% growth. Coupled with high base DEF and 40% growth in it, he's an amazing tank. 60% STR makes him deal tons of damage when he hits.

His other stats are kind of terrible, though.

My appreciation for armor types in general has been dropping over time.

Oswin and Gatrie are the only ones with exceptional usefulness. Doga was ok. The others aren't that useful.

Actually, Bors only has 1-2 more Skl than Barth for almost the entire game.

He does? Maybe it was the supports I had with Bors...his affinity is wind, so that's probably it.

If you want a tank, get Miledy. 13 base DEF at Level 10 FTW. And that's not counting HM boost.

Even then I prefered Brom over Gatrie because he was LESS of a generic armor unit.

Treck and Lott make great midgame to lategame tanks, and Miledy and Zeiss are good tanks as well.

Barth is the only unit that's a great tank from start to finish, though. His cons outweigh his pros, unfortunately.

I've failed to come up with something witty, so I hope you will enjoy this filler text instead.

Gatrie is awesome, he's perfect for the Knight/General class. Give him the Knight Ward when distributing BEXP (and let him have it in general too), and he'll rox ur sox.

Brom > Gatrie
Reikken: I'm halfway through reading it, but it's so bad; I can't finish.

---

Inui: You say Ilia holds more weight, but I don't, since Shin >>> Pegs and Sacae is more fun due to enemies that aren't fail and not having to move through forests all day.

---

SACAE. It's more fun than Ilia.

Brom is ugly, though. And Gatrie requires less effort, and is almost as good.

Don't see how Brom is better than Gatrie.

Something about better supports and Spd, I think.

I find a unit with high overall SPD DEF and RES combined far better tanks than those with 5 more DEF, way less speed, and equillish res.

More aggregate damage avoidance.

In such a case I would think Marcia a superior tank sans the bow weakness.

Knight Ward is your friend..... You DO know that it raises your Spd growth by 30% when equipped, right?

That was only in fixed growth play was it not?

Further more, doesn't that simply prove my point?
