Team Donger Slap versus Team Awsome - Team Donger Slap advances through default!![]() - ![]() Score: 1-1, tie game.
RN allows Team Donger Slap to make the first move. Sentenal wins the puck and the draw and considers his options: Units in this game have a move and a standard action just like in dnd. The one difference here is that you can take a move action, and hold your standard action (shooting, passing or attacking) until the puck is passed to you. Just note that depending on the path the puck takes when being shot or passed it can be intercepted just like in Blitzball. For the sake of simplicity I'm not going to go into detail of all the formulae and statistics behind this, if you have questions feel free to ask. I expect that as the team captains are getting used to this style of play these contests will start off a little slow. So for now no time limit is set. That's open to change in the future. Also, rules like "iceing" and "two-line pass" still apply, though "off-side" doesn't. No penalties, feel free to beat the crap out of the other players. Just know that if one on your team is KOed they're out for the rest of the match. Also note that attacking takes a standard action that can otherwise be used for passing or shooting. A unit attacking another unit can not recieve a puck that turn and it'll simply go to the next nearest unit that hasn't used their standard action. This is a totally new system, bare with me. ~ Kovu |

Okay, so, if I wanted to, I could have Sentenal move to F19, and try and score? Or, I could have Sentenal attack Date, and then fall back? Basically, what is the "attack range" of my stick, and how much MOV do I have? And will I be treated as a mounted unit, being able to move after doing something? |

All units have a movement of 6 (unless Celerity, then 8), non-mounted, skills still apply wherever possible. Goalie's are the exception, they can only move in the blue. The odds of scoring increases when shooting at an angle that the goalie can't as well defend against. For example if a goalie was at G24 and one shot from K22 they'd have a better chance than the route you're suggesting. ~ Kovu |

So I could technically try a shot from where I am, I would probably just not score? |

You could try a shot. But Date, Tiara or Leon each have a chance of intercepting, and even if one of them doesn't (unlikely) Justus could make the save. And if you miss, depending on where the puck goes it might turn into iceing ending your turn right there and causing for a faceoff in your own end. .. sooo, I'd recommend against it. ~ Kovu |

Goalie's can be killed, too. Remember, this is FEFF hockey. And notice the small damage.. meaning it'll be awhile before anyone dies. ~ Kovu Edited: Continue Sent. |

Is my archer still ranged? And does he do bonus damage on that pegasus? Anyway. Sentenal attacks Date. If Date dies: Falkner to G14. Leonair to G13. If Date lives, and my archer has ranged attack: Leonair to G13, attacks Date. Falkner to G14, attacks Date. If Date lives, and my archer doesn't have ranged attack: Leonair to G14, attacks Date. Falkner to G13. |

In the spirit of keeping this as balanced as possible in a system where movement and mounted advantages/disadvantages are cut nobody has ranged benefits, not even magic users. All hockey sticks are melee only. The only difference is that magic still attacks resistance. Mounted advantage is cut, so disadvantages are cut as well. I'm still developing the system, so plz dun sue me.
Neo's go. To obtain the puck you have to "kill" Sent. Good luck with that. ~ Kovu Edited: Forgot Date has Vantage. He pre-emptive strikes Sent for 4 with his ultra magic stick of d00m. |
