Stop focusing on stuff like clothes on shading. That's extra detail. You need to start from the basics, which is anatomy. .__. You don't even mention that.

I think that may have been what she was aiming for. But I can't be certain.

Alot of people who are getting into art nowadays are going down that path anyway, so I concider it safe to assume.

Though, if theyre passionate about art, but draw in a style similar to anime... alot of times its hard to be taken seriously by any prospective employer of say, a graphics design company, or a game firm.

I got the short end of the stick when I started college because I draw in a very anime like style :/

Yes I was trying to draw in an anime like style.

-----------------------

Yes I I have ever focused on was the clothing and well it looks as if I am not watching out for realism first before going to attempt te drawing. But I do need to put some shine in the armor though. I realized that using only one color just isn't going to work. But it will be awhile before I can put some extra shading as well as some joint folds.

I've never seen a dress frill that way, seen text on a shirt face exactly towards the view of the artist, ...seen any sort of shirt with text like that, and I've never seen the strap of a purse go above the persons hand. :X

that was sarcasm.

Okay for one:

Draw the ENTIRE BODY out, before you even THINK about clothing. that way you can be sure of proportions and how the clothing is going to fit onto the body.

And in order to draw good proportioned and dare I say even remotely looking humanoid bodies, you need to know the basics of anatomy.

I think you are biting off far more than you can chew.

Get some anatomy books, and look up tutorials online.

Before you even THINK of drawing clothes on a person again, you should know how to draw proper bodies and proportions.

and for two:

Just adding highlights and 'shine' isnt going to help you at all. Shading and highlights add to realism yes, however, theyre an aspect of design that is not necessarily needed depending on what your going for.

I strongly suggest that you forgot everything you THINK you know, and start to learn from books and online tutorials.

Because hun, I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about at all, let alone what you are trying to do with your 'images'.

Woah, really um...harsh comments. O_o;; I give credit of just being able to take you guys...lolz.

But that aside, I have to say I've seen worse drawings on Gaia and people are trying to make other people buy drawings like this. -.-

Proportions and all those things you need to practice aside, Ayanami, I think the thing that you might wanna work on is your attitude on drawing. If you call what you have here "art" (no offense, I rarely even call my own pictures art ), then you have to have the urge to make them into a piece of art. From your reposonses to other people's opinions, I see a trend of carelessness. It gives me the feeling that you are not taking the comments seriously or worse, you are brushing off the important points of what others have been trying to tell you. You have a long way to go before you can call your pictures art or anything good. So right now, it's not the time to focus on what you think look good, but to focus on the places that you think look not as good and try to make them better. But whatever you do, if you aren't serious into make "art", don't call the pictures art, please.

You did get comments, but you just chose to ignore them like a 3 year old because they weren't praising you. Anyway, work on actual proportions. All of these drawings look deformed.

QFT

Honestly, Ayanami, you posted them in the CD ( which is the Chit Chat of another baord that starts with an F and ends with ESS)

And I do hate to be a jerk and say things like this but....Those are terrible. As Tilyu has stated, work on proportions and shading. Do people have hands bigger than their heads? No!
As for some techniques.

-draw with your eyes closed- maybe you'll get better results that way
-Trace, thats how I started....when I first picked up a pencil
- buy an art book
- Take an art class when you get into highschool or middle school ( I honestly doubt that you're even in the 6th grade ....or 3rd for that matter)
- Ask your parents to teach you, even if they have arthritus and 3 fingers, they might be able to teach you a thing or two.

Ayanami, sometimes I doubt your seriosness.

My hand is bigger than my head, click here to see.

>_>;

Dude, I'm not going to be an ass about this. Learn how to use a pencil first before you try Draw. And while we're at that, I'm going to repeat what Erios said, and tell you to go look at Proportions.

Male hands are generally bigger than their faces, not sure about their HEADs though since the hand is sort of flat compared to the ball-shaped head. -_-;;;

But female hands are generally smaller and cover only about half of the face.
