Best. Visual. Novel. Ever. The story is absolutely top notch. Unlike other visual novels the focus is actually on story and then character development. It's rated 15+ and it's completely clean (well a few swear words aren't anything). I've only played through it twice of 8 total different storylines, and the second one completely shot me in the heart. It's been two days since I ended that line and if I think too much on it my eyes tear still, nothing's hit me as hard as that ending, which funnily enough early that same evening put me in an unusually good mood. Quite the rollercoaster. I can't effectly communicate myself but there's nothing bad I can say about this game other than a few translation issues which are completely negligable. It also has a lot of science, intellectual, and philisophical ideas within it. Very awesome, my opinon isn't far from 10/10, best thing I've ever experienced, in a horrendous way, should that make sense. I already know this means nothing to the main community around here but for those that won't scoff at this and actually have an interest I will readily talk to you about it. It's $40 retail price and I also have a torrent file. |

What's it for? PC? PS2? And how does the story stand up against Metal Gear Solid 3?

It's for PC, so everyone here can get it.
That depends how well you can relate to it as a person. Also note: It's more like a book than a game, make a few options here and there and that's it, a good few of them are superficial anyway, with only a few key story branching choices. It's pretty much a wall of text, with pictures, voice acting, and music. EDIT: Also, it's starts out rather weird, and it gets batter by day 3 or so. |

It's a "game". You pretty much read a story and get to make a few options during it for branching effects. And accompanying the readin is backgrounds character stills (that change for different emotions and such oftenly) music, and full voice acting (save the character that your own perspective is from). |
