Port of Badon is best described as a ''mini-BK'' fight. If you luck out and dodge the mages, you're fine, if you don't, and maybe even get critted.... you're screwed.

Wow, that comparasion sucked, the point is both are about luck, though.

Tell me about it :richie:

The only unit that ever proved to be the best in that chapter for me was Lyn with a slight Level lead over the rest with either the Mani Kati or the Killing edge.

Works for me, I also throw in some other units that can take out the magic users and I send Oswin or Marcus down by the house with the Devil Axe to take care of that Pali

While not the hardest one, Night of Farewells sticks in my mind for some reason. And Victory or Death, cause you get Renault there I guess. <.<

Marcus kinda sucks for Port of Badon if you're staying to kill everything, since characters like Raven want that Exp more.

Ok?

If nobody can manage to kill those enemies, or Marcus can, what's better to do? Surely you'll agree that having Marcus slay them rather than nobody is the better option.

The mage, shaman, and archer absolutely destroy Raven.

Or have Marcus kill the stronger and use other characters to kill the weaker/left-overs.

Since when is Raven incapable of killing Pirates? There's a patch of Forest within attack range of the Pirates. It's also in range of the Shaman, Mage and Archer...which is where Lucius comes in. He can lure the spellcasters out and get rescued by Priscilla or Marcus. Then Raven can dodge the Archer because he's in a Forest until he needs to kill.

He can get rescued, yeah, but you can't assume that Raven is going to dodge each attack.

Assuming that Raven is still at his starting level (which he most likely is), he's not going to have the resistance to defend against the attack. (He has a RES base of one and an HP of twenty-five. If I had those enemies' stats, I could do a better comparison, though. Anyway, the forest may help with the evasion, but Raven could still get hit. I could be wrong, though. :pacman: )

And, one of the pirates could get lucky an hit him. Or, maybe not. I think that that may depend on which route you may take, because, IIRC, one of the pirates in the area in which Damian comes in is wielding a Swordslayer.

If someone has the stats for the mage, shaman, and archer, that'd be a big help.

These enemies won't all attack Raven at once, and they surely won't OHKO him. You don't want the Archer taking a shot at him with that Killer Bow, but letting him take a hit from a caster, healing him, then killing said caster with him, is fine. Though, I'd use a ranged attacker to do it.
Reikken: I'm halfway through reading it, but it's so bad; I can't finish.

---

Inui: You say Ilia holds more weight, but I don't, since Shin >>> Pegs and Sacae is more fun due to enemies that aren't fail and not having to move through forests all day.

---

SACAE. It's more fun than Ilia.

The Peddler Merlinus. Out of the entire game, IMHO, hardest mission. The rest of the game is just easy pie. This mission on HHM is fun :P.

No. If I don't plan on using Marcus and enjoy raising newer units then I'll give that EXP to Raven, Canas, Florina and Lowen.
Everyone else is fine.
But hey, I hardly use Marcus but when I do, I just have him actually jon the battlefield later on in the game where he won't get 12 EXP per kill. :(

Hmm...

Battle Before Dawn has always irked me. And Port of Badon, because it seems like at least once per playthrough, someone must get screwed over by that Archer with the Killer Bow.

Ack, bad use of pronouns. I should've said "it," not "he," because I meant Lucius could take the spellcasters.

Raven on that Forest with his HHM bonuses and C Lucius C Priscilla faces something like 30 Hit against that Killer Bow Archer (18 real); I ain't worried.

Chapter 26: Battle Before Dawn

Seeing Jaffar betray the Black Fang for the powers of good, and then having Nino talk to him... brilliance. It was touching in a way. I don't care how horrible Jaffar and Nino are stat-wise, they're story and history with each other are probably one of the most deep throughout the entire game.
