As a unit, I'd call Florina the best.

That Lyn support w1ns >_>

Ineed. Along with Lyn's mode and joining time. Fiora is good too, but I'm sure most people would have Florina at a higher level by the time she joins. Or atleast thats how I look at it since they're fairly similar endgame.
Farina is the best statistically but, even if its not a lot, the gold you gotta pay to obtain her wil kill your rankings.

Hmm...you'd have to get hit thrice out of six attempts.

I'm gonna need to set this up in a chart format for it to be easiest. The numbers going across the top: Odds of Being Hit | Odds of not Being Hit. Numbers going down are the results of the previous attack; n: means the amount of times hit.

First Attack Results and Second Attack

Code:

      | .5  | .5
1: .5 | .25 | .25
0: .5 | .25 | .25

Second Attack Results and Third Attack

Code:

        | .5   | .5
2: .25  | .125 | .125
1: .5   | .25  | .25
0: .25  | .125 | .125

Third Attack Results and Fourth Attack

Code:

        | .5    | .5
3: .125 | .0625 | .0625
2: .375 | .1875 | .1875
1: .375 | .1875 | .1875
0: .125 | .0625 | .0625

Fourth Attack Results and Fifth Attack

Code:

         | .5     | .5
4: .0625 | .03125 | .03125
3: .25   | .125   | .125
2: .375  | .1875  | .1875
1: .25   | .125   | .125
0: .0625 | .03125 | .03125

Fifth Attack Results and Sixth Attack

Code:

          | .5      | .5
5: .03125 | .015625 | .015625
4: .15625 | .078275 | .078275
3: .3125  | .15625  | .15625
2: .3125  | .15625  | .15625
1: .15625 | .078275 | .078725
0: .03125 | .015625 | .015625

Sixth Attack Results and Seventh Attack

Code:

           | .5       | .5
6: .015625 | .0078125 | .0078125
5: .0939   | .04695   | .04695
4: .234525 | .1172625 | .1172625
3: .3125   | .015625  | .015625
2: .234525 | .1172625 | .1172625
1: .0939   | .04695   | .04695
0: .015625 | .0078125 | .0078125

Yes, the first five charts do not pertain directly to the question. That's the buildup to the chart we need: the sixth one. Specifically, look at the column with (0-6):. Those are the odds of being hit that many times. For example, the odds of being hit six times in a row is .015625, or 1-2%.

There's no simpler way to do it, though, to my knowledge. Sorry. :/

There is a much simpler way actually, it's how I determine the chance a unit has of hitting. You take the probability of Exactly how many times something will happen for the chance that she will be hit, 3, 4, 5, and 6 times and add them together. In this case, it's much simpler to just take the probability that she'll be hit 0, 1 and 2 times.

The formula is nCr times p to the r times q to the h-r. Or (nCr)(p^r)(q^h-r).

n is the number of trials, r the number of times they hit, q the probability of failure, p the probability of success.

xCy means that you take xPy and divide it by y!. y! means you take y and multiply it by each decreasing whole number. In other words, if y is 5, y! is 5*4*3*2*1. xPy is the same thing, but you start with x and only go y digits. In other words, if x is six and y is three, xPy would equal 6*5*4.

Okay, maybe it's not THAT simpler, but once you get the hang of it, it's much easier than whatever you were trying.

For the record, I haven't a clue how to determine real chances of hitting, but judging by RPGDL's stats, it should be in the area of 10%. Judging by the pattern, it looks like it's the percentage times ten, squared, and then doubled, the same formula for principal energy levels. That would give us 11.52.

I assume you meant the Paladin has the Silver Lance, giving him 24 hit on Florina. The formula for the chance of Florina being hit twice is (6C2)(.1^2)(.9^4). 30/2, or 15 times 0.01 times 0.6561. Or 0.098418, or 9.8418%.

Repeat twice: (6C1)(.1^1)(.9^5). 6(.1)(0.59049). 35.4294% chance of being hit only once.

(6C0)(.24^0)(.76^6). 1 times 1 times .531441, or 53.1441%.

Add them together, and Florina has 98.4153% chance of survival without calculating the real chance of her being hit, which may chance by up to 5%.

Fiora has 9 less evade, and has a 33% chance of being hit. If I use that snazzy 2(10n)^2 formula I invented earlier, it should be 21.78% real chance of being hit. I'll change it to .2, just because it's MUCH easier to use.

(6C2)(.2^2)(.8^4). 15 times .04 times .4096. 24.576%.
(6C1)(.2^1)(.8^5). 6 times .2 times 0.32768. 39.3216%
(6C0)(.2^0)(.8^6). 1 times 1 times .262144. 26.2144%.

Add it together, and you have 90.112% of survival, probably a little lower. Florina is easily more survivable longterm, but Fiora won't die either.

TOO MUCH MATH.

Every math teachers dream. Kids using math. Even if it is to find out statistics in a game.

I vote Florina. I find that she levels up easily and has wonderful dodge. I enjoy using her. I almost used her in the final chapter, but I put Renault in there instead.
