Ummm..........NO Fir has higher speed, luck, skill and resistance. On hard mode she gets a MASSIVE boost to her starting stats, and will usually beat Rutger in every category, except maybe HP by about one or two points, and they might tie in defense.
Your team is pretty decent, except your Roy is rather underleveled, and Ward really isn't that good at all. On another note, why are you taking Merlinus with you? You can still send him items even when he's not on the field, so he really just takes up space.

Rutger > Fir = true. Why? 1. Level lead. 2. HP, STR, DEF > LUK, RES. 3. Clarine + Dieck > Shin alone. |

IIRC, Rutger can get better dodge than Fir because Clarine and Dieck give him full dodge. Also gets some defence in the process. I think it gives Rutger the dodge lead. Fir has no advantages over Rutger whatsoever, except maybe Resistance. |

I like Fir a lot more, at least. Not an emo faggot + she's uber kawaii.

I don't have Geese/Gonzales yet, so my only other option at this point is Lot. He'll probably be dumped within the next 2 chapters for Geese or Gonzales. I didn't know about the Merlinus thing though...

You don't need Merlinus; you can send him stuff regardless of him being in battle. In short, take out Merlinus for someone else. I also don't like the higher lvled Gonzy. I always kill him. Use Geese in NM. So IMO take Lilina out for a filler (Zealot). |

Wait... He's on the route with the higher leveled, garbage Gonzales? Fuck him, then. Marcus is your best earlygame axe user; not Lot or Ward. |

Yeah, Marcus is a great axe user for... chapter 8. There hardly are any good reasons for an axe user in early game, anyway. Soldiers are pussies, knights are best handled by slaying weapons or magic, and cavaliers mostly use inaccurate lances, steel or javelin. They can be handled by the Halberd, if necessary. The Halberd which Marcus can't use with his starting E level, I might add. D won't be reached fast, since there's no reason to let Marcus kill. |

Marcus has a D in axes by chapter 4, which is where the Halberd is needed badly. The other axe users don't have the SKL for it and get doubled when using it. >_>; |

True, but the uber "kawwaii" ones are to stay back, so that your victory may be awarded with sexual pleasure. |

I don't give a damn about how they look, Rutger is better than Fir. Fir isn't really that cute, anyway... but that's kinda unavoidable when you're Bartre's kid. |

I always tend to use a pretty good looking team for some reason, means I'll never use Gonzales. |
