Name the characters who have worse Pow than Guy. Oh wait, I'll just do it for you. Isadora(who's behind by all of one-tenth of a point ._.) Karla(behind by about one point) Legault Louise(behind by four-tenths of a point) Matthew So, out of 44 units, Guy is #38 when it comes to Str. In the bottom 15% of all PCs. That's definitely not good. Add on top of that: Locked to Swords, the weakest weapons and the second worst overall IMO(arguably the very worst). Supports are lacking. Rath joins late and isn't a reliable partner to begin with; Guy is competing with many others for Priscilla's attention and losing clearly to some of them, namely Oswin, Raven and Erk. The other options aren't even worth mentioning(they all 3 suck, for one, and Karel/Louise also join late, and the Louise Support is +1 and can only go up to B ). His strong points? Well. He has very high Spd, dampened a little bit by crappy Con. That's about it. |

Reikken: I'm halfway through reading it, but it's so bad; I can't finish. --- Inui: You say Ilia holds more weight, but I don't, since Shin >>> Pegs and Sacae is more fun due to enemies that aren't fail and not having to move through forests all day. --- SACAE. It's more fun than Ilia. | |

Well...I'll just say for now that I don't think Guy is neither a great unit nor a bad unit. Just in between "good" and "meh" |

Uhh... Yes, assume Japan is superior to America by default when it comes to gaming. Surely, we can't compare. Our top 10 SSBM players are worse than the top 10 Japanese players. Oh, wait, our top 10 players are better than ANYONE in Japan. Hmm. Japan is not better than America at games. ![]()
Let's leave N00b Mode for a moment, and go to Hard Mode. I certainly don't care to argue for Guy in N00b Mode, since you can S rank with an army of Dorcas and Isadora clones and kill Nergal with level 2 Matthew using a Slim Sword while rescuing someone. HP Beats everyone but Dart, Dorcas, Geitz, Heath, and Raven. STR/MAG Isadora Karla Legault Louise Matthew Karel Renault Marcus Tie: Fiora SKL Highest in the game. SPD Fastest in the game, tied with Matthew and Legault. LUK Out of time. gtg/ttyl. finish l8r |

You forget that Fire Emblem is at core a Japanese series. SSBM is not, or at least less. Even if we consider the gamer populations equal, there is still no base for such a ridiculous statement except pure arrogance. |

I also fail to see how knowing every little tidbit and stat about the game from the top of your head automatically makes you a brilliant tactician. You can know everything about it and still have to restart twice a chapter at ENM

HHM is one of four modes. The Bonuses for it do not apply in the majority of situations. And even with them, Guy is still one of the ten worst units in the game when it comes to Str. And besides:
Forgot Oswin and Bartre. |

Gamers in Japan own Americans in games made in Japan tha are popular. Like fire emblem. We own them in FPS's and wars gams like rome total war. That about sums it up from what Ive seen living in both countries. But anyway, I still say.. Karel >Guy >Karla Harken kinda equals Raven. Wallace and Oswin pwn all of them. Or we couls just say hector owns everyone and laugh at lucas's bad luck of the much hated RNG. I got a critical from an enemy who had an iron sword and had 1% chance of a critical in the arena....so... |

SSBM is huge in Japan, dude. You have no idea what you're talking about. It's possibly bigger than Fire Emblem. ![]() And I don't restart chapters or suck at the game and just know the numbers.

SSBM is (relatively) as popular here as it is in Japan. With Fire Emblem, the comparison isn't nearly equal. Far from it. |

If SSBM is any indication, Japan isn't better than America by default. I'm sure I'm much better and know a LOT more than almost everyone there. Sure, there's bound to be an Eaichu of Japan, but saying most Japs got me beat...nah, totally false. |

Unless there ever is a worldwide FE tournament and you end up with the best, you're just an average player that's a bit more experienced in FE than other average players. You might be one of the best of the world, or you might be in spot 1000. We don't know. We also don't make any ridiculous arrogant claims about it. Simple as that. |
