One of course requires her to miss more work than the other, which could pose a problem if the place they work for doesn't offer paid maternity leave (as they might hold a part time job to make ends meet or something like that), although it wouldn't be a career-killer for most women. I'm afraid that adoption, while it's a strong solution for couples/women that can have children, doesn't work out for couples/women who can't afford to miss work for months and such. It's a tragedy and I wish it didn't have to be that way, but it does. Of course, aborting in many cases often ups the standard of living for the mother. In the case of abortions, one should put the well being of the parent before the well being of the fetus. Until that time, of course, abortions should be available. |

I am adopted, I thank my birth parents everyday for giving me a chance to live. Let it be bias, but I think adoption is much more humane than abortion. |

but then again u wooldnt care if u were aborted because you wooldn never have been alive in which case, u might have said (if u coold) that abortion is better ebcause there is an alleviation of all responsibility ad pain and suffering etc. |

Kombat: type with better grammar here, it's not Chit Chat. As for the humane part Scar, I 100% agree with you that if an abortion isn't necessary you shouldn't get one. That being said, I feel there are indeed cases where abortions are necessary and this is why they should be legal. There will be people who have the money and will get abortions because they have the money, but the guilt is theirs. |

EXACTLY Aborted people are not alive. They don't even know that they have been aborted. This is not the same as let's say, somebody being born and then killed. |

Like a partial birth abortion, basically, which I'm kinda glad that ban was upheld anyway. |

But does that justify abortion? No, it justifies common financial sense. If you can barely pay for two people, what makes you think you can pay for ten? |

I agree. Saying there are too many people doesn't warrant that abortions should be legal. |

Humans aren't animals, we're much better. The fact we can even put value on life is argument against why we should have abortions just because there are so many people. |
