Pendant told him the say thing that you said to Othin.

Which I agree with btw.

Only PZ hasn't been a smart-ass outside of chit-chat until here, especially not twice. We can continue this discussion through messenger.

Hopefully your car situation works out for you Kamai, you seem healthy and hopefully the guy isn't a jackass and doesn't try and fuck you over.

Why were you even driving if you were that tired/lost in thought? Not that I'm saying it was entirely your fault, it's just that I think people should be more careful...you're not the only person who was driving out there without much control of what you were doing, unfortunately.

Hope everything works out.

I think Kamai told me he had to go back to work, and he was helping his roommates move their stuff, so I can understand why he was driving while at risk of an accident. :/

Lecturing someone after a car accident = lulzy

There's some things that just don't need further explanation, guys. I'm pretty sure he's feeling bad enough already.

I'm glad you're okay, Kam-Kam I need my guild slave.

That sucks. I must say, however, prepare for some drama. About two years ago some guy ran a red light and hit my family car while I was in the passenger seat and since then it's just been drama, drama.

Good luck, bro :psypoke:

Kam started the topic by admitting that he was the one who caused the accident for having zoned out at a most critical juncture. That itself says that he's already accepted responsibility for his actions.

He doesn't need any lectures, really. If he's like me, he's likely the one most pissed off at himself.

Its not that he was reckless. People can be distracted and crashes happen that aren't really anyone's fault.

He drove past a red light and crached into someone's car, giving them whiplash and a concusion. I'd say thats pretty reckless & irresponsible. And its not his fault that he hit another peoson's car and injured them? Then whos fault is it? That again sounds pretty irresponsible that you injure someone like that and can't take fault for it.

gtfo of this topic now.

Sure, it's Kamai's fault, but can you really say that he's a bad person because of that? Accidents happen, believe it or not. He was extremely tired and probably troubled or something, which is why he was lost in thought. And even if he wasn't troubled, then he was still lost in thought. That's totally not irresponsible or reckless. You make it sound like Kamai WANTED to run the red light to show off the speed of his car or something.

If something like this ever happens to you, because of an ACCIDENT, I hope you don't expect any of us to feel sorry for you if you decide to share with us the story.

I never said he was a bad person. Don't slander me. Maybe I'm wrong, but from reading his first post, he(Kamai) almost sounds suicidal.

People have problems but deciding to take a wild joy ride in your car, thinking its going to solve your problems, is idiotic. People have issuse in life but when you're tired or too lost in thought to think clearly, being behind the wheel of a car is one of the worst places you can be. You're just waiting for something bad to happen. I don't mean to sound like a jackass but if you think I'm taking things out of proportion, you should talk to anyone whos lost someone due to a car accident. You should try living in any state in the mid-east. Highway laws are very strict.

And if I ever was in a car accident, I wouldn't stoop so low as asking this board for pity.

Kakashi. Allow me to use my masterful grasp of the English language and reading comprehension to summarize Kamai's situation.

Kam was driving. On the job or not, it is not clear. But he was driving.

He apparently had to, as he was under stress and low on sleep. Rational people like him do not do this if they don't have to.

While he was hypnotized (which the road can easily do to you if you're tired), he ran a red light.

Unfortunately, a car was crossing at the same time.

He hit it.

He regrets what happened, in addition to how much he'll pay out the nose.

Kam made a mistake. He admitted this from the start of the topic.

He's not asking for pity. He's letting us, who in general give a damn about what happens to him, know what happened and that he's alright.

And for the last time, he did not go for a joyride. He was evidently on serious business. And for those who know, you can't avoid serious business.

Soja has grasped the situation rather correctly. Btw, I would think that irresponsible and reckless are rather negative characteristics of a person, but maybe that's just me. :richie:

This part is what I want to direct your attention to, Kakashi. Kamai works as a delivery man, and he had to go back to work. I don't see Kamai as a bad person, reckless, or irresponsible. Like others have stated, the mere fact that he said he was wrong at the beginning post shows that he's taking responsibility, kthx. And as I know Kamai as a person, he's not the kind of guy who asks for pity.

It's unfortunate that these things happen. And unfortunately, in this case, it's Kamai's fault. But that certainly doesn't mean he did it on purpose or that he meant for this to happen.

Things happen. We all fuck up from time to time. Sometimes bigger, more serious things happen. Sometimes not so much.

It's comments like this that make me want to punch somebody.

Kam, cheer up. I'm actually pleased that you brought this to our attention 'cause it shows you value us to, at least, some extent. We're all people here. I'd like to think I can speak for everyone here when I say we care for your health as much as the next offline person.

So in light of the recent maelstrom of stress that is my life, I thought it would be a great idea to wreck my car.

Between Lack of sleep and getting lost in thought, I somehow decided to run a red light and t-bone someone, hospitalizing them (the paramedics said he had whiplash and a minor concussion)

On the other hand, my car is destroyed. Hooray.

As a delivery driver, this makes things difficult.

Hooray!

Ouch. Sorry, bro. :(
