Without camping, Donkey Kong will rape you. He will stage spike you if he wants, his tilts are longer than most moves in the game. He has ridiculous powers and to top it off he's wearing a tie. |

Too bad that a lot of people in this game can camp, and that Brawl puts so much emphasis on camping. Plus, like I said, his recovery's not that great - take someone like Jiggs and camp WoP on him, then, once he's off the stage, edgeguard him and he dies pretty easily. Sure, he's good. I just can't see him being as good as people such as Fox. That rap is awesome, but this is better. |

DK has horrible recovery, and since he's so gigantic, he's easy to juggle/wop off the stage. |

That and his vertical recovery is about zero, so once you WoP him enough all you need to do is hit him slightly downward so you can watch his DK copter crash and burn. |

Play my DK. I will rape you even if you camp. I can f-tilt and jab through camping and just time my powershields and dodges. If you actually try to fight DK, you get schooled. Btw, his up B has super armour on start-up, so lol @ easily gimping him. His Donkey Punch also has super armour during the active frames. He can kill you at 60-70% for making one mistake. He has awesome range and priority. Seriously, see my DK. Everyone is starting to think DK is amazing these days. |

You know, debating with you is utterly worthless because you just say stuff like this. It's obvious you're better than I am. That doesn't mean anything at all about DK. Whom you beat and who beats you has little relevance. It's an indication and it alludes to fact, yes. It is not actual fact.
Who cares about the super armor? It's the abysmal range it has that I'm talking about. He can't get back from about halfway between the platform on FD and the bottom of the stage.
K, so does Link (not as much range, but, on the other hand, Link also has projectiles). |

Yeah, it is. I don't like sitting here and explaining myself to people vastly inferior to me at the game because half the time they don't even understand it. I explained how DK can work around camping, but you must have missed it. He can f-tilt through everything that doesn't explode. The super armour stops you from gimping him if he times it right. This game is floaty as hell, so him being so far under the stage that he can't recover is uncommon. His recovery is far from bottom tier. In fact, if he hits you with the start of it, he can do like 26 damage to you. And hitting with it ain't hard with that super armour on start-up. DK's faster than Link, has a better recovery, and his huge moves have less recovery time. DK also has h4x gimping options, like cargo throwing into ledges. There isn't much else to say about it. Play my DK. Go play Bigfoot since he's not far from you. |

That's player error. DK's recovery is just fine. Super armour on start-up + long horizontal distance + high priority and damage output on the move itself. |

You fail to mention that it gets almost zero vertical hight, which is, you know, bad. Peach has better vertical range, and that's saying something. |

This. Plus, anyone who wants to edgeguard DK has it easy because even if he has superarmor on startup they can just wtf knock him downwards and the poor fellow doesn't even have a chance. Plus the fact DK's recovery is predictable, as he must go horizontal and has no vertical option, and thus makes him rather easy to edgeguard and wtfown. |

Peach's recovery can't sweetspot from behind, she's much lighter, and her second jump doesn't exist. DK is much better at surving. It gets enough vertical height. I can cargo throw people under stages and still get back just fine.
No, they don't. The super armour says "No :)" when things hit him at the start of the move, and then the move itself has good priority and does massive damage and eats through you. lol @ saying DK is bad at surviving. He's so fat. Second heaviest in the game. |
