Wow.

It's like they switched the previous tier list upside down. :psypoke:

Check The Blueprint...

I really think Olimar should move up because his aerials are great, he can rack up lots of damage with his side-b and because his recovery is awesome if he has enough Pikmin. The fact that he's dependent on them is a big downside, but they're not that hard to keep alive, and anyone who knows how to use him won't have any problems by plucking them from the ground at the right moments.

Regarding the Pokemon trainer, the difference is that you are forced to switch Pokemon. With Zelda/Shiek you can pick one and be happy. But PT requires you to play all three in one match, making them one collective character.

It's also equally easy to just camp him and get his Pikmin to die. A character that has a large chance of dying when they're off the stage can't be that good. Falco and Fox were gimpable as hell in Melee, but they still had two recovery options to Olimar's one that is countered by merely edgehogging him.

Sorry, but no. You're only forced to switch on respawn, and you're able to just change back and the only penalty is taking a hit or just nothing at all because the time frame you can hit them is pretty small.

They're also all entirely different characters in every way, so they can't be given the same spot on a tier list.

I thought the Pokemon become weak or something after a certain period of use? If not then I agree with your idea.

They just get weaker like everyone else does with that stale-moves stuff.

Ok, here is another question. Why is Pit at the bottom of high tier? From my limited experience, I find him the best character in the game. He has almost no flaws, IMO.

Since you are the better and more knowledgeable player, I am ready to be disproved. D:

No, Pit is nowhere near the best character. His grab range and range in general is awful, making it hard to punish lots of stuff. His aerials have tons of lag on landing and don't cancel early at all in the air, and his smashes are easy to punish. He is also not allowed to attack. He has to camp to win. If he goes on offense, he gets raped.

I main the faggot. I dropped him in singles because he's not allowed to attack or shieldgrab, which is boring. I main Dedede and Marth for singles now.

Interesting.

I picked up Ganondorf knowing he would be bottom tier as a joke a little while back...the problem is that he has become my most played character and I have too much fun playing as him. Should I bother sticking with him, and become some kind of low-tier miracle worker, or take the safe path and play a higher tier? For the record, my second favorite character is Lucas.

No, he has enough.

Losing to Ganondorf is pretty bad, so Yoshi can't be that great.

@Phil: Main anything above bottom tier for tournaments or you will lose.

The best Yoshi in NJ lost to my Ganondorf 5-0, two matches where he got twostocked.

Ganondorf can punish Yoshi's stuff with jab and f-tilt too easily, d-air right through his second jump super armour even at tiny percents, and his forward B to jab "combo" actually works on Yoshi all the time. All of Yoshi's aerials lose to Ganondorf's u-air and f-air.

Running grab is faster and has more length than jab and f tilt. Jab is longer than backair? No egg spamming? Egg roll stops jab but lags too much do do anything? Eh.
