I've failed to come up with something witty, so I hope you will enjoy this filler text instead.

Of the ones I've played:

X > IV >>>>> X-2 > III

Of the ones I've played:

VII > VI > V > VIII > IX > X > III > I

I'm only counting the ones I've played till either near the end or at least halfway through. I cant really rank IV since I only played it for about an hour at most and got some bard guy if I remember right. PSX version too, and the loading times on the PSX ports arent fantastic at all.

Despite being over-rated, I still find 7 to be my favorite. I remember some parts when I first saw them. Like seeing a Midgar Zolom impaled on a giant tree by Sephiroth, when at the time that thing could rape my entire party at level 16 or so.

Eight was my first though, and I found it pretty good. As my first, I like it because it brought me into the final fantasy series. I didnt even get off disk two before I bought seven preowned and thought it was epic. :NomNomNom: It does have it's flaws and all, and it did focus too much on Squall and not enough on the other characters, but I thought it was still a good game, just not up to the level of others in the series.

6, was pretty fecking awesome. I played the PS port version. It was fun game. My favorite character was Locke in it. Artwork was different than what I was used to but I still liked it. I thought the game's storyline was pretty good. Characters were great. I got to the WoR and then my memory card got stepped on and I lost that file. ._.;

I found 9 good the first time I played through disk one or two. Then I continued that file on the start of disk 3, cleared through that and just stopped at disk 4, wanting to go back through some of it and learn some skills but I found out I missed em. I tried making a new file but 9 seems alot slower than the other FFs, at least battlewise I think it does.

10 wasn't too bad. I liked it in general but it had nothing on the other games for me.

I liked 5. I have no idea why. Characters werent great. Storyline wasnt great but it wasnt terrible either. I got to the second world I think, but I just loved the class system in that game.

I'll continue my reasonings another time. Too lazy right now.

There is a light that never goes out...

IV>VI>VII>IX>I>X>V>X-2>VIII

FF4 is without a doubt my favorite FF game, and probably my favorite game period. Not only was it my first Final Fantasy game, played way back in like, 1991, but it defined what it means to be a Final Fantasy game. The Story was good (this was incredibly epic shit), the characters were good, and people DIED OMG.

FF6 was my second one. It basically improved on everything from FF4.

VII is over rated, yeah... Well, okay, its REALLY overrated. But that doesn't make it a bad game at all. Its a well made game, decent characters, decent story, decent mechanics.

IX is an UNDERRATED game. Its a return to the old style of FF games, before they started going modern and stuff with 7/8. Compared to a piece of trash game like FF8, this game was godly, and allowed me to forgive Square for making 8.

I was good. It had hardly any storyline at all. But what it did have was difficulty, and the ability to customize your party. Team MAN aka, 2 Fighters and 2 Red Mages, is the best team ever assembled on a Final Fantasy game ever.

X is both over rated and under rated at the same time. While Titus and Yuna were annoying as fuck, and took alot away from the game, Wakka and Auron were cool, and added to it. I really liked the gameplay in this game.

V was okay... I can understand why people like it. Lots of character customization and stuff. Not my cup of tea, I guess. It also was hard, for better or worse. I respect the game, but meh, didn't care enough to finish it.

X-2 was a joke. Its hard to list the amount of things about this game I hate. The only reason I put it ahead of the trash known as FF8, is because I guess gameplay was half-way decent.

VIII... I can't believe people can like this game. Every single character in this game sucked. They replaced "Character Development" with "Personality Disorder". Well, actually, Irvine was alright. Then, the plot was retarded, especially when you get to the end of the game, with Time Compression and stuff. Finally, gameplay... This is about the only Final Fantasy game I've ever played that punishes you for leveling up. Fighting battles raises your level, but it also raises the enemies level. Some bosses get riduculous spells and such once you level them up to a certain level, making them significantly harder than they would have been at a lower level. Fighting enemies doesn't even give you money. Then, how does one progress in this game? Junctioning! You see, Magic isn't Magic anymore. They are more like items that make your numbers shiny. You Junction magic to stats, and you get stat boosts. So, basically, you sit around in a battle, and draw magic from enemies over and over and over, until you have like, 99 of a single spell. Then you put it on a stat. And now that stat pwns. And you didn't level up, so your enemies still suck. Then you go and beat the game at a ridiculously low level. I really wanted to see why people liked this game. I played it a long time ago on the PC, and didn't like it, and stopped like half way through. Eventually I gave the game a SECOND CHANCE and bought it for my PS1. And I played it to the end. And I still hated it, but this time, I knew how broken this game was. The game had a good start, but after how fast this game turned into shit, I was not amused.

I forgot how the rest went since i played when I was youngers
T was awesome just for the whole delita-ramza buisness.
X was awesome just for Tidus' monologues
IX was pretty awesome due to the humor in it
RW was a... unique game in the series. I liked it alot
VI was fun for locke <3
VIII was fun for the music
XII was fun if you ignore the plot and just focus on the hunts etc. etc.
V/IV I dont remember much of
VII was.... okay,,, gets the most undeserved haet and the most undeserved loev imo. It's decent at best.
TA was moar fun than TA2 due to how TA2 seemed liek TA+different maps
D:

Updated the list massively since I remembered my great hate of IX. God I hated every aspect of that game. Oh yeah, and I really loved VII.

~ La dee dum dee dum.

Out of all of the FF games that I've played...

FFT>FF4>FF6>FF7>FF5>FF8>FF9>FF10>FF1>FF2>FFTA

FFT- This was the ultimate Final Fantasy game. I loved every minute of it, it has it's challenge to the max, the enemies get stornger as you level up. Without good weapons, you are screwed. This has to be one of the best strategy RPG's that I have ever played with only Fire Emblem being better.

FF4- This is the 2nd best Final Fantasy game ever made. FF VII may be highly overrated, but I will tell you the resons why that this game will crush FF VII.

-The story is alot more sinister.
-It is a beyond all evil plotted game. Nothing can possibly be more exilerating than this in any videogame.
-The characters are alot more mature.
-Rydia grew up in the underworld after getting swallowed by Levithian. She then afterwards can summon a plathora of wild beasts at will. She is alot more sinister and kick ass than Aeris.
-The citezens don't trust you as well as the citizens do in FF VII.
-You actually battle on the moon towards the endgame, and that you can even pitch a tent on the moon. Just how awesome is that. =D

Out of all of the FF numberted game, this is the best.

FF6-This has got to be the second best game in terms of replay value. I have played this game so many times that I even know most of Gau's rage tricks and most of the enemies attacks. This is the third best Final Fantasy game ever made, as it is more sinister than VII, and that who can possibly get more eviler and sinister than Kefka besides Zeromous. I can tell you, nothing.

Kefka is sinster to the core..

-Poisoning a river to let all who drink it linger, suffer, and die. he has brought not only pain and suffering to this land, named Doma. But...

-He has also taken over the imperial capitol and harvesting Espers (The Phantom Beasts') quienstence to obtain more power. He doesn't care about anyone, as he only cares about striving for more power and having everyone bowing to him at his feet.

-He killed Emperor Geshtal after he served his purpose, as it was rather sweet to see Gesthal trying to stop Kefka with all that he had and that he turns good in the end after finding out that he was being used.

-He made the world go haywire and made it into hell.

-The cult of Kefka, that alone explains that everyone was to worship him after that he became a god. Well, the point to this is that he is ruling them with fear.

-Even when you battle him at the endgame, he still shows no remorse or pity for what he has done, and that he wants to kill and crush everyone that doesn't follow by his rules and objectives. His laugh is the only thing that makes him amusing.

This is why that this game is better than 7, as kefka is far more crazier than Sephiroth, as Sephiroth is just a pansy mommas boy. Ha ha. =P

FF 7-The only thing good about this game is the story and it's sales. The only thing that I can say good about it is the replay value that it has higher than any other FF game. Out of all of the Final Fantasy games that I have replayed, this is the game. The only thing that makes Sephiroth crazy is summoning a giant meteor to Mother Earth, otherwise...he is just a pansy man. The only thing annoying about this game is that it is a little to polygonic, heck you can even see the polygons by doing close up camera angles during battle.

FF5-This is a game to play at least once, as it really won't get any good until X-Death shows up. X-Death can possibly be more sinister than Sephiroth, as at the last battle when he becomes Neo X-Death, he was planning on erasing everyone from existence including himself afterwards to purify the entire universe afterwards. The only thing bothersome about this game is some of the music.

FF8-The only thing good about this game, is the juctioning system. You can possibly beat this game at LV10 with good juctioning spells. Great Music, epic story, as this is yet another beyond all evil plot. Before Edea gets out of mind control, she becomes a nightmare. Heck! She even nuked Trabia Garden without remorse. Rinoa can possibly be the most sinister character in the game, as you know Ultimicia is HER in the future. The gameplay and animations were great as well as the music. That is all that I can say good about this game.

FF9-The gameplay was cheesy. The music is okay, but the only thing good about this game is the challenge.

FF10-Absolutely this is worth a play, as this game is far moree harder than nearly any other FF game that I have ever played. Great Animations, music was alright. Rikku was the only interesting character in the game, as her language is from Al Quota. She alone is what makes this game worth a play, plus she has a return in FFX-2.

FF1-Great music ^_^, great gameplay, the characters actually don't have any names to give, as you have got to name them yourself. This game is worth a play. This game also has it that you have to buy spells in order to learn them, so does FFV. But this game is probably the 4th hardest that I have ever played in the series.

FF2-Absolutely horrible, I lothe this game so much that I never touched it again after one playthrough. Bad music, bad character development, sucky personalities, etc. Honestly, you don't have to touch this game as it is complete and utter phailure.

FFTA-Don't touch this game, I mean it. This is absolutely the most horrible FF game that I have ever seen. The Judge system alone ruined this game that I haven't even played it again after 15 minutes. If you want to play this game, your better off ROMing it. Again, don't touch this game, it sucks shit.

Ugh. Stop talking. Most of your tier lists containted some vague spoilers that I've heard already or are incredibly wrong.

As much as I don't like Sephiroth that much as a villain, he's more than a pansy guy. He's the product of experiments to create a super soldier. That alone is enough to make him more than a pansy normal guy with some anger issues.

Dude, ayanami, wtf. No one wants to READ your fucking post and get spoiled at the same time. And I'd like to say something about kefka; he is LITERALLY insane. Thus it's not very evil for all those things, as they all contribute to him being insane; he doesn't care about anything.

Also, about FF8 it's possible to beat the game without leveling up at all, instead of the "it's possible to beat it at level 10."

It's remarkable how wrong you can be when you make tl;dr posts. Please, just stop with the random plot crap. You can easily explain shit WITHOUT LAYING DOWN THE ENTIRE STORY.
