I preferred that screen travel thing FFX did. It was much easier to navagate through, and I actually think it felt more epic. Mostly because you're experiencing every single aera, and they're all huge because that's what you'll be traveling.

You can't get stuff like this without a World Map :(

The destruction of a gigantic mechanical city right at the start of the game was more epic than that. D:

You mean at the start of FFX? It was alright, but I'd say the Weapon attacking Junon or w/e in FFVII is a better example of "City Under Attack: Epicness" than that. Or like, even in FFX, the Crusader's battle against Sin was more epic. Basically, the wider the view, the more of the action you see, the "larger" the event seems.

In a way, the maps themselves are the world map(s). :NomNomNom:

Heh, I love it when events happen on the world map. One of the things that got me when you get to the two-thirds point of FFVI is the total change in the world that you've come to know. It throws you for a moment and it's a really cool touch.

Zanarkand was just an example, though. Since every locale in the game is so massive, all the major events seemed epic. And yeah, IMO, Mushroom Rock was one of the most epic scenes in a videogame ever. :x

Kovu, why don't you actually read your posts outloud? You act like a smartass. Your "opinions" are not fact. You continuously strut around with all the "facts" about RPGs and Final Fantasy. I agree completely with HJ and Yzarc, and I really like Final Fantasy X.

Why do people think that I say some of this stuff to be funny, or as a joke? Are my opinions nothing more than smartass remarks regarding various issues with no sense of seriousness to them?
I would be lieing if I said that I don't fight fire with fire, but I don't often start the fire and I'm always looking for a way to put it out. I have tried very hard to keep the troll out of my posts despite there being plenty of opportuniry for him to take part.

As for FFX, you're more than entitled to your opinional likes and dilikes. As am I. I couldn't, and wouldn't deny you that. Just don't say stupid shit like how FFX's story is better than that of Tactics. Unless you're obviously joking, which was not the case here (see: obvious).

As for the topic at hand, it's kind of hard for me to compare overworld scenes with cinematic cutscenes.

No, it won't. I've used an N64 emulator, and it didn't put my compy at risk.

PSX 32 bit
N64 64 bit

It shouldn't put your compy at risk.
