DID YOU NOT FEEL RE-ENERGIZED BY THE DANCE COMMANDER!??!?!?!

I can understand why music would re-energized. A badass war song makes me want to smash some faces.

Moar stuff relating to character bonuses. You can have your SA characters plus two more. By default. :NomNomNom:

Character Bonuses

Character points are used as currency to purchase additional bonuses for your character such as skills, extra growth, new weapon expertise, and powerful artifacts. Some characters (usually main heroes, primary villains, or pivotal NPCs) will overrule some of the requirements for the sake of plotline advancement.

Skill: Can be any skill listed below. You can have only one skill. Costs 60 character points.

Upgrade: You can raise one of your stats by one grade. S grade is unachievable by this method. Costs 60 character points.

New Weapon Type: You can customize your character further by adding another weapon they may use and level up in. The weapon starts off at E. You can't have more than three weapon types available to you. Requires 100 character points per new weapon.

Second Generation Character: Expand your playable character pool beyond the default three by creating a relative of one of your current characters. They can be children, siblings, cousins... as long as they're not older than the original character and they're related somehow. Unlike with your other characters, you CAN swap equipment between a Second Generation Character and their First Generation counterpart. Requires 150 character points per character.

S-Rank Weapon: Create your own legendary weapon. You can have only one S-Rank weapon on your character. Keep in mind a S-Rank Weapon is useless if you don't have the corresponding weapon grade in that type. Cannot be traded or auctioned off. Costs 200 character points.

Normal Skills

Skills in this game work more like D&D feats, since we have no actual FE-like battles, but they're used loosely. Possessing a skill gives you more clout when it comes to gaining the upperhand in roleplaying fighting. If you want the skill to be highlighted during the fight and accounted for, simply add [Use Skill: -Skill Name-] somewhere in your post.

Some skills require a simple die roll to determine success. The percentage of success is listed.

You can have only one skill (not including promoted skills). Each skill costs 60 character points, so choose wisely.

Adept - Occasionally activates a second attack before the enemy counters

Alertness - Regardless of your actual agility stat, you'll dodge most mundane projectiles. Does not carry over to melee combat.

Ambush - The more you bleed the more deperate you get. Attack first when low on health.

Cleave - The unit has a small chance of slicing through the defenses of an opponent

Dragon Rage - If Dragon Rage activates, you strike with terrible might and accuracy

Guard - Occasionally negates enemy's counter attack

Healing Hand - Sacrifices health to recover an ally's health

Hex - The unit's spells have a small chance of slicing through the resistances of an opponent

Investigator - In case your character is ever in the midst of a mystery, you can use this skill to highlight any clues you may otherwise miss.

Leadership - Allows your character to have more intimidation and persausion over NPCs of authority than the average character. They will say 'yes' to a request they may normally reject, even if begrudgingly. Most characters with this skill should be the ambitious and charismatic sort.

Prestige - Word of your character's deeds have not fallen on deaf ears. Cuts store prices down by 10%

Renewal - Allows a unit to recover a fixed amount of health

Safeguard - User takes damage for a chosen ally

Savior - Allows a unit to carry others without having a reduction in their skill and speed stats

Summon Familiar - Summon an animal companion to aid you. It can't be anything larger than a horse.

Willpower - Even if you're thoroughly beaten or near death, you can still stand up, though you may not be able to do much else.

Promotion Skills

Favored Enemy (Ranger, Witch Hunter) - Always does effective damage against a particular unit (free choice)

Prodigy (Dark and Light Acolyte) - The character can cast all E - D rank spells without the need of a tome, unless you do not have that weapon type in her arsenal. (A mage won't typically be able to cast light or dark spells, as an example)

Silencer (Assassin) - The character can choose to kill one NPC per thread unless the DM says otherwise

Slayer (Bishop) - The character receives a special pow against evil-aligned baddies

Tiger Eyes (Sniper) - Unit gains perfect aim with ranged weapons

I assume you can also currently buy these skills for your SA chars?
Since atleast a few of us have the char points needed to get a skill.

Also, how, in-rp is such a skill obtained?
Between threads (aka downtime) or could I post now that I want… Alertness, and proceed to dodge mundane projectiles starting my next IC post?

And I gotta start working on making Kel fit this system and make my second char, then :NomNomNom:

If you want a skill now and have enough character points, you should probably post the purchase in the review thread since that's where we're keeping all the stats at the moment.

The skills are effective in the next thread your character is in so we don't get confused. :NomNomNom:

Gold has been added to the earnings, too, but I might just fling it and say all SA characters get X amount of gold when we open the RPG. :Psyduck:

Personal Information

Character Name: Sybille li Kelvendar
Alias / Nickname: Billy
Race: Human, Kelvendarian
Class: Lance Knight
Gender: Female
Alignment: Chaotic Good
True Age: 28
Apparent Age: Early - Mid Twenties
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 150 lbs.
Hair Color/Style: Raven Black; waist-length and thick but usually plaited into a braid
Eye Color: Sea Green; almond-shaped and with long lashes
Marks/Scars/Tattoos: None
Birthplace: Kelvendar, Palace of Placentia

Physical Appearance: First and foremost, Sybille isn't a waif. Her build can be epitomized by the word "statuesque"-- she's well above average height and has muscle definition not unlike a runner's. She often prefers to dress in full-fledged armor suits -- usually violet and tailored to fit perfectly with her form -- which reveal very little of her tan skin. The first princess of Kelvendar has kept her beautiful raven hair exceptionally long ever since childhood but often has it pulled back into a rope-like braid for practicality. Along with her impressive height, Sybille has impressively big feet.

Personality:

"But aren't you going to run and stop her!?" cried the robed man.

"No use, no use!" laughed the King. "She runs so fearfully quick you might as well try to catch a Bandersnatch!"

Sybille appears to be as smooth and calm as a cool and placid lake. On guard. That's just a role she assumed because it got good reviews. Dare to cross her and you'll soon find out just how shy and submissive she isn't. She is infamous for being able to talk back to a seasoned guard or an armed thug with equal vigor, if either one happens to annoy her. She may regret it later, but caution won't concern her in the heat of the moment.

The woman is ambitious and isn't keen on being second place. Her own peers normally adoringly fear her or fearfully adore her. She's the social leader of her group, lording it over lesser women like a queen (it helps that she's incredibly tall, too), but with such disarming warmth and such sharp claws, no one really minds. Perhaps the other girls sense she was born to rule and dictate styles, customs and manners. It wouldn't do much good to try to usurp her authority.

Ironically, this is simultaneously the reason why she would be a good queen and why no self-serving nobleman would actually want her to be queen.

Biography: Sybille is the eldest child and only daughter of King Malik and his first wife Queen Seraphina. Her closest brother and rival, Alaric, followed her a mere year later.

Despite being a princess Sybille was a bit of a tomboy. Malik doted on his daughter and would boast in company, "This girl never cries". Alaric was her closest childhood playmate and she learned to joust and hunt simply to compete with him, even at the scorn of the other genteel women.

She had a stellar education thanks to her mother, who consulted the scholar Adalbrecht upon the subject and was Sybille's first instructor in language, science, and music. When scarcely five and a half years old, she entertained some visitors with a performance on the harp.

Sybille is also notably more religious than her siblings thanks to Adalbrecht (a priest) and has consequently aided many of the church's programs.

When Sybille was nine years old, the King gave her her own court and many of the Royal Prerogatives normally only given to a male heir. Despite this obvious affection, Malik still saved most of his time for his first son, which caused a rift between the two elder siblings which only grew in the years following.

Throughout her childhood advisors negotiated potential marriages for Sybille, and much to the humor of her parents (particularly her father) she managed to disgust each one. She is currently contracted to marry her second cousin, who seems to take a genuine interest in her and thus hasn't been shaken off quite yet.

Sybille isn't soft-spoken about her admiration of her brother Alaric and acknowledges that the chief of his immense popularity is well-deserved, but Sybille finds him too narrow-minded and unconcerned with the plights of the poor to be a fit king. She also distrusts a great deal of the advisors he would appoint and may heavily rely upon. Seeing dark clouds over the horizon, she hopes to secure the crown for herself in hopes of forestalling a terrible disaster, as well as prove that a woman can be fit to rule a kingdom.

I haz question.
I might give Kel a familiar, but what can it do?
Is it intelligent, can it talk, etc.?

Aside from the obvious boon of having a tiger familiar (smaller then a horse :NomNomNom:), the more normal ones can be either useless or awesome depending on it’s intelligence and ability to communicate.
