There are some things that I will say about the game. The Melee system certainly is far more rad and realistic than VP1. The PWS specials certailny are breathtaking in this game. I admit until Alicia learns Heal, you will certainly have to burn alot of Warrior Arcanum and Union Plumes just to stay alive in the beginning. Skills are also learned a totally different way than from Star Ocean and VP1. You would have to equip certain armor and accessories to match the runes to activate the skills. Then you have to do anough battles until it reaches 100%. Skills cannot also be used by jut activating them. They can only be used upon learnning them.

The enemies will certainly give you a harder time if you don't buy the equipment from being made out of materials. Some are easy to get, but to get some of the equipment, getting the materials for some of them will be a pain as you have to cut off certain parts of an enemy's body to get different materials and items, maybe even armor sometimes. But you would have to sell them these materials to get them to make the equipment that you want for you. Selling them gets you some cash and then buying the weapon/armor afterwards. It's almost/is like the Weapon/armor are totally free. They are also usually better than what you could buy at the stores. You certainly will have to dash alot, or else the enemies will be the crap out of you as they will usually plan to gang up on you and box your team in.

Either way, this game does have a more realistic and better melee battle system than the first. The Melee system in the game is rad. I really mean it. The first one has better spell animations and overall a better battle system than the second one. The Melee system in the second is good though. Also, whenever that an enemy attacks you in this game the screen stops and that you are unable to act until that they finish attacking or making their move. That certainly can get rather annoying. =\ But both games do have some better experiences than each other, which makes both of them worth playing.

In case you hadnt noticed, Ayanami, these topics of yours are both not needed and entirely unwanted.

If I wanted a review, I’d go get it from someone who isn’t a complete retard.
Stop posting this shit. It’s pointless, since I could’ve gotten it off of several other sites.
Owait, those sites actually have opinions worth reading

VP2's melee system is amazing.

Yeah, really amazing.

I mean it! Oh, but VP1 has better spell animations, imo. Yeah, I guess VP1's battle system is better.

That's basically what you're saying. And I hope you see how stupid it is.

Since I can't make heads or tails of anything in that paragraph, and you say here that they're each better than the other (which, you do realize, is a major logical fallacy)...

I haven't played this game series. Which one would you recommend to a new player? (Gameplay-wise, not story continuity--which one is actually the better game?)

VP2 is the better game in terms of pure gameplay but if you care at all about the story, it is still best to play the games in order. I'd say VP1 is more fun over all.

Gameplay wise VP2 is a better game, and in my opinion, it was funner. VP1 gets static and boring, and the overall story sucks unless you do obscure things to get the good ending (and if you do that, you lose one of the best characters in the game).

Although VP1 is a very unique RPG and definitely worth playing; you should play it first.

VP1 is the better game.

nobody will take your opinions seriously because you dont formulate your own opinions in the first place, you read shitty reviews by twelve year olds wanking it to typical animu storylines; anything remotely original or interesting to them is, and i quote, "SOOOO BORIN" or the oft-better "lameeee---"

VP2, by far, is the better game.
In general your game preferences match those of someone who touches themselves while watching Inuyasha and listening to the Kingdom Hearts 2 theme song.

Play a fucking western RPG for once. Fallout 1 and 2 will blow you out of your fucking mind, and if not, then you are surely a wapanese-programmed robot.

Guess that makes me a wapanese-programmed furbot.

Seriously though, shut up. Some people here like JRPGs more than its watered down counter-part. This is a JRPG forum.

All of this Ayanami-hate is really starting to irk me, and I'm not even the one being targeted. Seriously, lighten up and entitle the guy to an opinion. If you disagree with his opinion, fine, but don't keep putting him down in his own topic for his having a mind of his own. I'd like to speak more on the subject, but I haven't played the game.

huge post

I don't mean to pry, and this is a very personal question, but I'm wondering, are you autistic or exhibit symptoms of Asperger's syndrome? Your strange posting habits and the threads you've started remind me of Ulillillia, an amazing person that has clocked in 500+ hrs into something as atrocious as Busby 3d.

And for the record, both VP1 and VP2 are awful and broken and there are plenty of better things you could be doing with your time, like planting flowers in your backyard or going for a jog.

Actually, he did claim to be autistic once, but it was disproved. He's just an extravagantly stupid attention whore.

Or a brilliant mastermind of a troll.
