Spirac was restless, pacing back and forth in Luther's office. For the first time in years, the Raven laguz had been forced to hire outside help to clean up a mess he had wanted to handle internally, and he feared this might leave a stain on the reputation of the Bloody Daggers as a Guild. Already, contracts were starting to decline despite the rise in attacks outside of the city, and he had had to promise more than once he would see to what was seen as 'the Talon issue' personally. However, Talon had been a Bloody Dagger, and knew most of his fellow Guildsmen as well as their skills. He knew they'd be unable to infiltrate his ranks for an assassination mission, and given that the man in question was a master murderer himself it'd have been a suicide mission on anyone he'd have sent out, himself included. Thus, he was forced to seek the aid of outsiders. Outsiders that should be arriving any minute now. |

Raphael casually walked to the office, followed by a knock on the door. He had been hired two days ago for some dirty work. He was told to come to this location to meet a man named Luther who would give him more instructions upon arrivial. Raphael normally only did work for his boss, but he wouldn't be involved in things like this for much longer and he needed the money, so he thought this would be quick, easy cash.

This was the Big City. With the Big City came big crime. Luther was one of those few men that dealt with that crime. He was a crime fighting man so to speak. He fought crime so much in the last few weeks; he got his own crime fighting office. Though in all honesty, he was leant this room to run his search for the Philosopher's Stone. So far his search wasn't going too well. He managed to limit some of the possibilities of where it might have gone. It wasn't sold while in the city and it probably wasn't taken off shore. He also found out that it might have been a laguz that stole it; even then that information was iffy. He heard the knock on the door and straightened in his seat and looked up from some papers. "Come in." |

Richard Drakesbane arrived at Luther's office only moments after Raphael, followed by his lovely student, Annalina. <3 He knocked a few times and went in without waiting for a response. Ignoring the rather large man, as well as the other male, he gave Luther a little nod, "Greetings, Sir Luther. It's been far too long, my friend. I was rather pleased when I heard I'd be working with you again." He remembered Anna behind him, and stepped to the side to allow her entrance, "Ah, and I'd like to introduce my lovely |

Rapahel walked in as soon as he was told to. ''I was told to meet someone here named Luther who had a job for me.'' Raphael then looked at the other guests. ''Who are these guys? I hope they're not here for the same reasons. I prefer to work alone.'' |

"Hello again Richard. I'd say the same, but you always seem to steal my girlfriends." He said with a grin, standing and to shake the "Pleased to meet you, Lady Thereus." He offered a little bow to the woman and a smile. He glanced over to Rapahel then back to Richard. "A sellsword." He turned back to Rapahel. "They are, you'll have to deal with it if you want to be employed here." Then he turned to Spirac. "You... I don't know who you are." Edited by Blank, Dec 19 2008, 08:42 PM.

Spirac stopped pacing when he heard aphael preferring to work alone, suppressing the urge to let out a nervous laugh. - "That makes two of us, kid. As much as i hate to admit it though, that isn't an option this time." He glanced at Luther, shrugging off the man's poor attempt to introduce him, and tried to measure the ability of the people that would be signing up for his mission. Though he wasn't that good in figuring out how strong a mage was by looking at them, a stance was still able to give him a rough estimate. - "I am Spirac DeMorlun, Guildmaster of the Bloody Daggers. If you haven't heard of me, i would consider it a compliment. Before we continue however, i take it you have all heard of the latest string of attacks just outside the city borders?" He waited for a second to let this information sink in, and offer an explanation in case anyone didn't have an ear for rumors. That, and according to his records there was still someone missing and he simply hated repeating himself. Edited by Jehaine, Dec 20 2008, 11:17 AM.

Raphael did not like the idea of working with others. Not only would they slow him down, but more company meant less cash for him as it would likely be split amongst them. ''...Fine. I'll let it slide. But try ands keep up. The one thing I hate more than a partner is deadweight.'' Raphael then turned to Luther. ''I was told to meet you here to recieve the details of my assignment. Mind telling me what I'm getting myself into?'' |

Anna was a little annoyed at the arrogance the sellsword portrayed. "Seems someone doesnt play well with others." She said with a sneer. "A little back-up might save your life one day." She then ignored him and turned to Luther. "A pleasure to meet you, Sir Luther." She curtsied like a true lady. "I'm curious as well as to why we were called here. Would you explain?" |

A casual patting down the small hallway to the office would unintentionally introduce him to the people in the office up ahead. It stopped right outside the door, with the sound of a small yawn, and neck bones cracking at an almost disgusting volume. The sound of the knob turning, and then the door opening let his presence be known. Jacque made his way into the semi-crowded office, rubbing his left eye like he had just woken from sleep... which he probably had. His presence was an odorous one... not overly disgusting, but a bother. The man reeked of gunpowder and hard alcohol, an adventurous smell, if not inviting. "Well hallo, I believe it's time i did show up. Have the uhm, contract sent to me a fortnight asking me to be in this office at this time... something here about a stone, I presume?" He found the closest chair, and rudely ignoring all the other people in the room, he casually slumped into it. He stretched, more cracking noises coming from unexpected part of his body, and he then proceeded to, somehow, slump down even further. "I'm here for the job and the pay, nothing more, nothing less, shall we get started?" He made a little gun gesture with his fingers and pointed it at Raphael jokingly, pretended to pull it. "My, he looks like a stiff. Tch." |

This was a group of winners, Luther surmised. The only he really trusted to be quality was the mage, even then his personality was sometimes troublesome. The knight sighed and looked about the room at his gathering of cutthroats and mercenaries. Jacque was taking the cake at the moment. "You're in the right place. Come in." "I'll get to the point then. During the plague we borrowed a stone relic from one of the Archmagi in Alexiera, while it was in transet, the relic was stolen. I wasn't really informed of the exsact purpose of the relic or its significance, but the Archmage is a civilian of Kelvendar and only helping us out of benevolence "The stone was stolen from a warehouse from the docks. We're running out of suspects and my support is limited. That's why you were all called in. Mr. Spirac has more to say on the subject." ((... <<; Go for it Amy.)) |
