I've failed to come up with something witty, so I hope you will enjoy this filler text instead.

Firion looks decent I guess. Too bad his game is pretty much shit defined, though, so even if he is badass we'll never know because we're not gonna torture ourselves by playing FFII. |

I'm assuming the game was to difficult to comprehend? Because for most people who detest FFII, their hate usually deviates from the fact they never bothered to learn the "level" and weapon systems in this game. Don't hate the game. Hate yourself for not learning how to play it right. |

A game that makes you beat your own teammates to death for several hours so they can gain HP? No, that's just the game being incredibly stupid, nothing else. And that's just one of the terrible design flaws, though it is probably the most glaring one, imo. FFII is just a very badly designed game, plain and simple. |

Lol. Yeah. Casting Fire on your teammates, followed by a Cure and Sleep on the enemy. Have your fourth party member attack your tank. Grind offensive magic, defensive magic, HP, MP, and a whack of other stats all by attacking your own group. ![]() That game is hilarious. ~ Kovu |

Well, if you grind in every RPG that you play, I'm sorry that this one has a little bit more difficult way to go about doing it. The general rule for FFII is that if you're having a tough time with enemies at a particular part in the game, just keep on pushing through. Since the battles will last a bit longer and you'll undoubtedly get attacked more, your stats will inevitably rise, and you'll find yourself beating those same enemies as if they were Leg Eaters. Simply put, the game was not meant to be grinded through, since you don't need to grind in the first place. |

That doesnt change the system being stupid. I need to get hit to gain hp? Just use normal Exp rather then such a convoluted system. Grinding isnt needed most of the time, but neither is such an annoying, pointless way of levelling stats. |

No, if you actually get hit, your Stamina has a chance to increase. If you lose actual HP during the battle (the more HP the more likely the chance), your HP has a chance to increase. Just to make it easy... Stat-How to gain HP- Losing HP MP- Losing MP Stamina- Getting Hit Magic- Casting any spell Strength- Selecting the "attack" option Spirit- Using white magic Intelligence- Using black magic Agility- If an enemy tries to attack you and misses Evasion- Equip equipment that increases evasion (Like a shield) Magic Evasion- Being targeted by magic Any more questions?

Yeah, I agree with everyone else here. Having to beat the shit out of your own party in order to get stronger is retarded. |

You don't have to beat the crap out of your own party. That's only for powergamers that can't beat games with normal characters or feel the ridiculous need to max every stat in the game despite the fact that the final boss can be beaten with a character that has rushed the game >.> Anyways, can't wait to kick some ass as Zidane. Speed characters ftw

Going to get it later for a larf, my friend poked me to get it today but I'm too lazy. Bit of effort really. I hear theres extras in the ENG release, I'd imagine so, Arcade mode or something I heard. Gives you a way to levelup the bad guys, since you used to only be able to level them via versus mode, whereas the good guys get a storymode each to levelup. |
