Well, in higher level fights like DC Lunar Whale/Falcon and Inward Chaos, the "Omega stages's" stage braveries are completley insane (lol @ Omega Planet's Core). Basically, if the AI breaks you, it's an incredibly uphill battle to fight. Therefore, I usually collect EX Force/Cores as quick as I can, then just sit with the maxed-out gauge until the enemy combos me, then use it as a chain breaker.

Ok, so my favorite characters now are Cecil, Bartz, and the Warrior of Light. I like Gabranth now but I laoth the fact that there isn't a story mode for the villains. Leveling through quick matches get super boring 'cause the only character I find easy to beat at a higher level than my own in Exdeath. I feel lied to with the whole "who will you fight for?" campaign, haha. Also, I need some help with something... So I unlocked that golden chapter thingy after unlocking both Gabranth and Shantoto, and...I got my ass beat badly on the first guy. I used a level 87 Cecil (my highest). Should I just keep leveling til he's at level 100 or does it even make a difference...? and...does anyone know where I can find a list of what moves are unlocked on which levels? Gamefaqs won't work on the computer I'm using stupid work computers and their restrictions. Can't even look at G4 stuff on my lunch breakalso, @ Bryars ahhh, didn't even think of that. good thinking. is there a way to unlock new EX mode special moves or are you stuck with what you got. I could've sworn I saw a really kool one for the Warrior of Light..but I could have been wrong Edited by Light Yagami, Sep 21 2009, 02:03 AM.

I love cock blocking with the Ex Burst. <3 Nifty little shield Firion's got, too. I should upload some videos of my friend and I playing at some point. Zidane vs Tidus, very entertaining and quick paced. ~ Kovu |

Hooray for necroposting. |: I've never played FF ever. So to say if this is better or worse that the original FF series would be innacurate. |

Necroposting is 1 month. A month hasn't passed. Moreover there's no necroposting rule on this forum because anti-necroposting rules are stupid. As for the game's quality compared to other FFs-- it's certainly the best action-based Final Fantasy though I still prefer some of the others. It's a really good game. ~ Kovu |

I enjoy this a heck of a lot more than smash brothers. XP Feels far more epic. I think it looks a lot better, too. First you need to go into the Treasure Lover's play mode. Then grind for Chocobo Downs, Chocobo Wings and Chocobo Feathers. Then switch to Grind Lover's play mode. Wait until you're about to get a x3-x5 experience battle. Equip the Chocobo equipment, face a level 100 ExDeath on the easiest setting (1-Minimal), as well as the 'Calm' strategy. Be careful, he'll still one shot you if he gets an HP attack in. Watch out for his Delta Attack and that other rift-thing he does. Don't waste the Chocobo Wings and Feathers on battles that aren't x3 or x5 experience, as those are relatively hard to get/keep. But grinding for those should grant you a stockpile of Chocobo Downs, so those you can keep equipped. Also be sure to equip a Ribbon if you're 85th level (at which point you can keep all of the Chocobo equipment equipped with only a 10% chance of losing any of it--maybe not the feathers if you're really lacking in stock). There might be other equipment that reduces the chance of accessories breaking, but if there is I haven't found it. If that's too much work to grind the Chocobo accessories you can always take on a level 100 ExDeath on a mid-level setting w/o the accessories. Not nearly as effective, though. The best way to level-grind a character is to multi-task, grind for those Chocobo accessories by taking your main character (assuming already level 100) through the Duel Arena to grind for gear components at the same time. ~ Kovu |

Well, I only ask that you try it...though I've got to say that once I played Brawl after playing Dissidia for a good while, the biggest shock to me was how quiet the characters in Brawl were compared to the say-a-phrase-for-every-attack fighters in Dissidia. Plus, with a non-linear, interactive environment combined with 4 types of customizability...I keep on thinking this'd be a game you'd enjoy, Lucas. Even if you don't know any of the characters, that doesn't mean you can't find a new one to enjoy. |

Haha, Jecht's alt. look was made to have similarities to Auron's in-game appearance, so that's as close as you'll get. By the four-tiered customization, here's what I mean: You can personally change your character's Abilities, which are broken down into your Offensive Abilities and your Basic Abilities, which the latter is even further broken down into "Action", "Support" and "Extra" Abilities. With Offensive Abilities, you can choose which attacks your character can use during battle, and assign button combinations to each. "Action" abilities strengthen actions other than attacks (Like dodging and blocking), "Support" abilities, in general, make it easier to control your character. Finally, "Extra" abilities are specialized Abilities that supplement your Character, like gaining critical-hit boosts and Physical/Magical shields. The second character aspect you can change is their equipment, almost exactly like you would in a traditional RPG. Some equipment is epic (Excalibur II lol) and therefore hard to attain, which is interesting, to say the least. Most character specific weapons have "recipes", which you must collect the necessary parts for, as well. Third, we have Accessories...these are items that give you certain attributes, and there are four types: Basic, which act as their descriptions say; Booster, which multiply the effect of the Basics depending on conditions during battle; Special, which often give you one-time bonuses/unconventional effects, and Trade, whichby collecting these you can trade for other items in the shop, perhaps to upgrade equipment? Finally, there're summons. Probably the easiest to explain...anyway there're two types: AUTO and MANUAL. All summons have either a beneficial effect on you, or a malicious one on your opponent. AUTO summons are played when your character meets a certain condition (Ex: BRV=0), and MANUAL summons you can trigger yourself; they also tend to be more potent than their AUTO counterparts. Hey, even if it is more popular, where is Smash's customization? Is it limited to choosing your character and your controller's button configuration? Although keep in mind, Luke, I'm not trying to bash Smash or anything...I wouldn't mind being educated on it, as well. |

You make it sound easy. x_X; I don't even know where to get most of the stuff required for better equipment. Like a Rabbit's Foot. Where do I get one of those? I need two. ~ Kovu |

Rabbit's Foot: 2 Yellow Gem 2 Luck Shard 1 Luck Crystal You get the yellow gems from the Fusoya Ghost card (Golbez), and the luck pieces from fighting Bartz...there's also some Gil amount to pay, but that shouldn't be a problem; You're literally swimming in cash early on in the game. |
