A towering giant, Dross stands around 6'10 and at a heavy 215 pounds. He lacks pupils or irises, which is a bit off putting to those looking at him. He wears an odd suit of dark cobalt armor that seems to be forged on top of a blackened chain robe which is affixed closely to his body. From around the neck of his armor, a large metal collar wraps around his neck, obscuring his mouth.

Personality:
Dross is very concise, and rarely ever speaks more than is necessary. No nonsense, no messing around. This mindset is applied to everything; fighting, talking, cooking, cleaning. Everything. There is no room for foolishness in Dross' opinion.

Biography:
Anthony Dross is a man who once was a general for a local town militia. He was heralded for his wonderful knowledge of battle tactics, and trained the local soldiers as if they were his own children. Dross himself was wifeless and without a family as well, so his life and family were the local soldiers.

One day, a scouting team discovered an oncoming regiment from an army who had declared war with the country governing the town that Dross lived in. Dross decided that as citizens of Grandbell, the small town should muster arms against the army approaching and stop the assault before it reached one of the dukedoms of Grandbell.

The town gathered arms and empowered by their charismatic leader Dross, they rallied against the oncoming army and ambushed it, throwing the ranks into disorder amongst the enemy army. The battle was proceeding excellently until word of the ambush and attack from the small village on the outskirts of Grandbell reached the main army. The regiment that Dross had been holding up and been slowly defeating was a small regiment that was meant to be a scouting regiment.

Reinforcements arrived, and the village was facing down powerful generals, knights and wyverns. Dross' village began to become overrun, overtaking and slaughtering most of the village's garrison. Dross took up his own weapon, brandishing his axe at the leader of the reinforcements from the main army.

Dross was utterly defeated. As he lay on the ground, his blood pooling around him, he could only wish that there was a way to save his people; to become a hero in the eyes of Grandbell. That's when he heard the voice.

I can give you the power to destroy your foes.

Dross was confused at first, but then beseeched the voice for it's help. He couldn't bear the loss of his family; his friends. His love; his village. The voice whispered that it would give him power in exchange for a pact. A pact with two parts of payment. First: His soul. Second: His most important possession. Dross hastily agreed, and he felt his life flowing back into his body as an unholy power filled his body as he could feel the warmth escaping him as his soul fled his body in payment.

You are now an Ender. Show them your power and end this pitiful battle.

Dross merely raised his hands and the elements around the soldiers flared up and tore them apart, unit by unit. Winds ravaged their bodies, flames eviscerated them within their suits of armor. Lightning struck down wyverns from the sky and darkness swallowed whole the last of enemies. He was even able to use this power to mend the wounds and restore those who had died to life.

Dross' heart was filled with glee, although everyone seemed to look on at him in fear. "This power... what did you do to yourself to do this?" One of the men asked Dross. Dross merely smiled and pounded his chest with a fist. "I sacrificed my soul for the power to save you." He said, and they looked on at him horrified. To lose your soul meant that you'd never pass on to the other life, but remain a horrid shell of a servant to whom you sold your soul.

The voice returned to his head, laughing as Dross began checking up on all the people in the village.

Your second payment is due... The voice told him. "Of course. There's nothing I wouldn't give to see my village alive and safe." Dross told the voice. Suddenly, a horrible sight struck Dross' eyes.

The souls were being ripped from every last of the villager's bodies and being flung into the ground, into dark holes that had abruptly appeared. Dross was dumbstruck, how could this happen? He had already given his soul... why was everyone in his village suddenly dying?

The most important thing to you... were those people. So I have taken them as my own, every last of their souls. So many souls for such a puny power given... The voice said as the insidious voice laughed incessantly and Dross went mad. He began tearing at his eyes, gouging them and ripping them from his skull in complete fury. He began firing his magic at the ground, trying to find his way to where all the souls of the people he loved so dearly had gone.

In the end, Dross used his magic to heal his own eyes, allowing him to see, despite healing them in a grotesque way. His pupils and irises have vanished. He cast aside all of his powers, only relying on the bare minimum of healing and dark magics to begin anew and use his own power to cast down the one who betrayed him. That was when he set off on his quest to find a way to reach and defeat the dark power who had stripped him of everything.

He had wandered the lands for twenty-two years since then. One day while in a mercenary group to make money, he ran into Vandal. Although Vandal was the complete opposite of Dross, Dross felt that he'd lead him to an interesting future. At least a future where Dross could get stronger. In the end, that was all that mattered to him. He wanted to grow strong enough to free everyone who he had damned instead of saving. This lead him to follow Vandal and Pariah, leading them to the gates of Agustria to find strength in strife.
