Personal Information Character Name: Celia Beryl Alias / Nickname: N/A Race: Human Class: Cleric Gender: Female Alignment: Lawful Good True Age: 21 Apparent Age: 19 Height: 5'3 Weight: 108 Hair Color/Style: Flowing moderate brown hair that falls just past her shoulders. Eye Color: Ocean Blue Complexion: Fair Marks/Scars/Tattoos: N/A Birthplace: Anphony, Agustria Physical Appearance: Petite and graceful, Celia is a quiet beauty that has captured the hearts of many suitors within the nobility of Agustria. She is garbed in fine gold and cyan clothing, with gold earrings, a jeweled necklace, and simple shoes designed only for comfort. Personality: Although shy at times, Celia is a strong-willed woman who abhors violence more than anything. Nearly impossible to anger, Celia tries to help people as best she can, believing that deep down everyone has some good in them. She is also very intelligent, graduating at the top of her class. She finds men with intellect charming, which may explain why she's turned down the proposals of many handsome suitors thus far. Biography: Celia was born the youngest of seven daughters to a noble family in Anphony. From a young age, she proved herself to be naturally gifted in using magic. Her parents, wishing only the best for her, quickly enrolled her in a private academy in which she would learn how to hone and improve her magical abilities. Naturally she hated violence; she could never even think about being able to bring harm to another human being. So she ended up doing just the opposite: she decided to take up the use of staves and healing magic so that she could help people rather than hurt them. She wanted to save as many lives as she could. As the years flew by her magical prowess increased more and more. She passed each exam thrown her way with relative ease, and when it came time for graduating from the academy, she emerged at the top of her class. Her intellect and grace made her popular with noble Agustrian suitors, but all of them would be turned down. Celia wanted someone who could relate to her on an intellectual level, and she didn't see that in any of the men who wanted her hand in marriage. One man, Ares Praustor seemed particularly bitter when she turned him down, and it was going to cost her. One night, her family's manor went up in flames, and she watched as her mother and father were killed before her as well as the six of her sisters, some of which were raped before being killed. Ares Praustor had hired a band of mercenaries to take everything from her. They informed her that they would perfectly cover up all evidence, and nothing she could do could prove that it was anything other than a carelessly-caused house fire that burned the rest of the family alive in their sleep. If she did not accept Ares's proposal by the end of tomorrow, then they would frame her for starting the very fire that killed her family, for the reason of inheriting the entire family's vast fortune. Fearing for her life, she ran, hoping to find someone who could save her. A week later Celia reached the next town, seeking help in a tavern. She needed somebody who would be able to protect her from Ares, and offered up a small portion of her family's fortune in exchange. In the corner of the tavern a large drunk man seemed to be harassing another man who was only trying to sleep. Eventually, the man grew tired of the drunk, and simply got up and left, walking past Celia as he left. The drunken man followed him outside. Celia watched as the drunk continued trying to pick a fight with the other man, who seemed to be only annoyed. The man offered a warning to the drunk, who pulled his axe out in reply. With but a sigh, the man unleashed a fireball at the drunk, knocking him unconscious and severely burning him. Something told her that this was the man she needed to save her from Ares. She introduced herself, and the man introduced himself back as Elyk. Celia told him her plight, and while at first Elyk wanted nothing to do to it, he eventually agreed to help protect her, provided that she didn't pay him that much. Only enough to get by. Celia felt the future was a bit more promising. Something was telling her that she had made the right choice. |
