I've failed to come up with something witty, so I hope you will enjoy this filler text instead.

It also has FFX above FFXII and Oblivion above Gears of War, so there are still discrepancies. |

Kovu, FF9 was the first in the series to be released this decade, so FF6 won't be on here ![]() #28: Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn ![]() Release Date: September 24, 2000 Platform: PC Developer: Bioware "The finest example of a PC RPG -- ever. An improvement on its predecessor in nearly every aspect and a stunning achievement. Black Isle and Bioware have set a new standard for the genre with this highly involving epic. 'Hamsters and Rangers...Rejoice!'" ~Gameplanet #27: Ninja Gaiden ![]() Release Date: March 2, 2004 (Original), September 20, 2005 (Black), July 3, 2007 (Sigma) Platforms: Xbox, Playstation 3 Developer: Team Ninja "Ninja Gaiden is everything you could want from an action game and more. The repetitions in gameplay can be slightly annoying and the difficulty could put you off but don't let it. Buy a copy, no, buy two copies so you can hang one on your wall." ~Extreme Gamer #26: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Release Date: May 24, 2000 Platforms: Playstation, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast Developer: Neversoft "It occurs to me that I've spent thousands of words saying something that could be summed up in a single sentence, one mentioned by a friend of mine when he was talking about a 15-year-old Bones Brigade skate tape (it was "Animal Chin," for you trivia buffs). So like he said, Tony Hawk Rips Hardcore. Pick it up and you won't regret it." ~IGN #25: Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Release Date: November 6, 2007 (Original), November 10, 2009 (Reflex) Platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, Wii ("Reflex" version) Developer: Infinity Ward "Call of Duty 4 really does have it all. It's epic, very difficult at higher levels and offers stunning visuals. Online, the ranking system is just as, if not more addictive than Halo 3's, and custom classes and abilities add another layer to each match. This one will be busy online for a long time." ~Gaming Age #24: Knights Of The Old Republic Release Date: July 15, 2003 Platforms: Xbox, PC Developer: Bioware "Knights of the Old Republic is an outstanding game because it covers every single angle in terms of audience expectations. It's got enough Star Wars to satisfy the fans and enough pure fun to draw in people who normally wouldn't get into role-playing games. You'll see this on several Game of the Year nomination lists if not at the very top soon enough. " ~IGN #23: Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec Release Date: July 10, 2001 Platform: Playstation 2 Developer: Polyphony Digital "The fact of the matter is, GT3 is the best racing game ever made. It may not feature as many cars as Gran Turismo 2, but it more than makes up for this with superior car physics, more upgrades, more events, more tracks, better graphics, more songs and, overall, more replay value. When it comes down to it, this game will take longer to fully complete than any other racing game out there, and because it has such an amazingly realistic engine, you'll enjoy every minute of it." ~HonestGamers #22: Halo 2 ![]() Release Date: November 9, 2004 (Xbox), May 31, 2007 (PC) Platforms: Xbox 360, PC Developer: Bungie "I've played roughly 15 hours of multiplayer battles in the past two days, after having played through a 24 hour single and multiplayer session a few weeks ago. We have Metroid Prime 2 in the office, with Metal Gear Solid 3, Prince of Persia 2 and Half-Life 2 on the way. All those great games, and there's nothing I'd rather do than play more Halo 2." ~1UP #21: The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker Release Date: March 24, 2003 Platform: Gamecube Developer: Nintendo "This is perhaps the greatest ever chapter in the Zelda series. It manages to be absolutely revolutionary and yet still familiar. Cameos by old friends will keep old Zelda fans enthralled, and wonderful gameplay and great graphics will have everyone ecstatic...This game is the best game I have ever played, pure and simple. If you ever played a Zelda game and enjoyed it, you will most likely love Wind Waker. ~Kombo.com" #20: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City ![]() Release Date: October 27, 2002 Platform: Playstation 2, Xbox, PC Developer: Rockstar Games "In the end, any criticism I can offer on this game is merely nitpicking. The occasional weaknesses of the game are few and far between and the overall momentum of the game propels you past the dull spots so quickly that you'll only begin to notice them once you start looking for things to criticize." ~IGN |

No it didn't, there isn't a single bad review of Wind Waker. But of course, if by bad press you mean angry forum nerds who bitched about the graphics then yeah, it had a lot of it. |

I can picture some bullshit like Little Big Planet or whatever being #1. I also nominate Ocarina of Time for top ten. |
