I went ahead and put this in the game's topic for Dragon Age: Origins, but I figured more people would see it here. I've installed the game, but every time I try to run it, it crashes, citing an error. For those more skilled in software, here is the error report

From what I can tell, the launch file is corrupt, but I bought and installed the game straight from a disc, so I can't understand why for the life of me. Can anyone help me out?

Well judging by my google search, this error isn't unique. A solution didn't jump out at me though.

Did you go to their support pages already? They're more likely to help you fix your problem than we are. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/category/58/index

I've installed it on multiple computers and received the same problem. And yes I posted it there, but no one has responded. Apparently, that board is infamous for its lack of customer support in terms of efficiency. I was just wondering if anyone here knew how to fix it. Better to post in two places and all that.

I may have to take it back to gamestop and explain to them my issue and maybe get a new disc, even though I bought it new :/

When it comes to games that don't work, they usually shit themselves when I start to play them. That's usually because my graphics card isn't up to snuff. I couldn't tell you if thats your problem. That error code makes no sense to our eyes much less the eyes of most computer savvy people.

My only real suggestion is look for solutions with Dragon Age: Origins, APPCRASH, and the Exception Code. Exception code means error code more or less I believe.

My graphics card isn't up to snuff for DA either, but it still runs. I don't think that's it.

Half-life 2 puked and died violent for me when I didn't have a powerful graphics card back in the day. That was true for most of the "new" stuff at the time. You can still not have a great card but it will still run though. I donno what Askio has so... Couldn't say.

The best bet is still looking for the error code, or you could try getting a new copy again.

There is a light that never goes out...

My computer simply restarted back when I tried to play HL2 without a required video card. Anyway, I got no idea what that error code means.
