@the spoiler: That's because you did missions before going through the Omega 4 Relay. Just so you know. You get game completion and ME2 import bonuses. You get like 30k of each resource iirc. |

Still waiting to get this, I'm trying to find it for as cheap as I possibly can. I started replaying ME1 in the meantime and I'm really looking forward to it. How influential is all of the stuff you move over into the sequel? |

@AdamI figured as much. Dr. Chacuas was yelling "why didn't you come sooner?" and that's when I knew I guess I'll just have to do newgame+ to try and have a better play through so I can transfer THAT data to ME3. I guess it's not a spoilr since it's been made very public... A certain character dies in ME1. The surviving characters make an appearance (most of them) in ME1 and a couple even join your new team and they'll act a certain way around you depending on how good or bad your relationship was with them in the last game. You also start at a higher level but the kool thing is thr you can chose to be a different class. I ran into Kaiden and I'm sure he wouldn't have been soooo pissed that I was working with Cerberus had I been nicer or even had a relationship with him in ME1. From 1up.com "Every Mass Effect fan knows by now that Mass Effect 2 will allow you to import your Mass Effect 1 save to carry over big decisions you made into the sequel, but in what other ways will it affect your play through? BioWare has shared new details on that on their official forum, revealing that players will get extra character bonuses depending on how high their level was when they completed Mass Effect 1. "If you finished ME1 as a high level character you will receive greater bonuses than those who finished at lower levels," explained community coordinator Chris Priestly. "Ex, if you finished ME1 as a level 35 character, you will receive a bonus, but if you finished ME1 as a level 50 character, your bonus will be larger." Exactly what this "bonus" will be wasn't fully specified, although Priestly mentioned it could include "a monetary boost at the start of the game, or additional research resources for use at the Normandy's Tech Lab." But Priestly also made clear the bonuses won't be so great as to put new players without a save import at a disadvantage. And another nice touch: If you completed Mass Effect with either the Paragon or Renegade title, a portion of the alignment will carry over into Mass Effect 2, "making it easier to access certain dialogue options." Lastly, Priestly also confirmed Mass Effect 2 will have a New Game + mode as well, and you can replay the same character data you imported from Mass Effect 1 and played through Mass Effect 2 with the first time. Storywise... extremely. Small decisions I didn't even think about at the time are throwing little bits of foreshadowing and even quests at me. You're not going to find ME2 for anything less than maybe -$10 off retail price if bought used. The game just came out a week and a half ago and it has tons of replay value. Even then you'll have to cough up $15 for access to the DLC network if you get it second-hand. (Bullshit, I know. Blame EA.) |

so basically, get it now and put off whatever other game you were planning to buy sooner than later, like Bayonetta or whatever else you're excited about, lol. Also, another thing to get excited about. Y'know those lags in ME1. Gone. I haven't lagged at all in ME2, but there was one instant where the sound cut out during Samara's personal quest, where she meets a certain someone...during a very kool and important cut-scene ;__; (it was still pretty to look at though) I think offering the DLC free with ME2 is just away to get people to buy the game while it's still about $60. Gamers would think "If I buy it later I'll have to pay extra for the DLC anyway, better get it now" and EA makes a good chunk of dough. SO, rather than people buying the game for $40 at game stop or off of Amazon, chances are those people would have to buy the DLC for 15 bucks. Knowing this, gamers would just decide to suck it up and buy the game now while it comes with the DLC. (that's pretty much what I'm getting at) Maybe the same goes for the release of Dragon Age. Luckily for me, I bought it for 40 bucks during the Black Friday sales and it came with the DLC. Unfortunately for Kala, no such sale will happen anytime soon... IDEA! we should post pics or screen shots of what our character Edited by Light Yagami, Feb 5 2010, 08:58 AM.

Answered my own question.... Starting a newgame+ deletes your previous file. So I can only play my current new game+ but I can never go back to playing the original play through to scan all the planets. I wonde if starting a new class will delete this one... |

Fags, if you turn this into a Mean Girls quote thread, I will melt your Plastic asses. >:[ Also, Mass Effect 2 >>>> Bayonetta. This is a fact, gt ovr eet. Not sure about Bioshock 2, though. I never played the first so. There are quite a few bugs in ME2, though. I've had characters get stuck on cut scenes, like when they're supposed to walk away. They just stand there and stare at me while I'm conversing with someone else. Very creepy. Also, I've had characters just disappear and not show up in cut scenes even though you're clearly talking with them, so the camera focuses on just empty space. And, I've had that bug where the sound drops out, but it was during game play rather than a cut scene. I figure it might've been because I was playing for eight hours. |

I didn't think play time would be a factor when it comes to glitching and stuff. I had one where I walked to the corner of this little pit on the side of a mountain or whatever (the mission with the lights leading the way) and all of the sudden I'm walking in the air and I couldn't get down. Mordin then followed me up but Jack couldn't, lol. ..I had to start the mission over though.<< As for Bioshock 2, it looks really fun. I really liked the first one. Played it at my friends house though, so I don't know what happens in the last quarter of the game. I'm pretty shocked that I haven't bought it yet...I mean, c'mon I bought Street Fighter 4 lol. So yeah, I'm doing New Game+. Does anyone know if Miranda goes both ways? (Forgot to mention my shep is a femshep). |

Eva shepard (sorry it looks like shit, took it with my iPhone) sucks I cant Les up Miranda. Oh and adam, it's 50k of each material. At first it sounds like quite a bit but it's really not :/ 50k of element zero is nice, but not when it comes to paladium or platinum. I think there is a guide on which planets has the most of what on gamefaqs but I haven't checked. Edited by Light Yagami, Feb 6 2010, 11:12 AM.
