Well, Kovuland, you were doing a pretty good job at this whole hosting thing until you started this poetry stuff. Overall though, I'd give you high marks. Interesting concept of an opening ceremony; very artistic. So, what are you guys hoping to see? Predictions? Favourite Winter Sports? Favourite athletes? Personally, I want to see Sweden win Ice Hockey (Henrik Zetterberg you are the hottest <3). If they can't, then it better be Canada (although Sidney Crosby you are a douchebag). Canada needs to win something. Seriously. Besides hockey, I want to watch Figure and Speed Skating. That stuff is always really fun to watch. I'm also looking forward to skiing (because now that I've actually skied, I have a lot more respect for what they do). |

Seriously though. That would be the day Canada fell from the face of the earth. Probably catch up with the games soon after everyone else has seen them since I'll be sleeping when they're on. |

I figure we Dutchies are gonna bring home a bunch of medals from speed skating. Aside from that we probably wont win much, if anything lol. |

The Netherlands don't stand a chance against the American speed skaters. We've got Stephen Colbert this year. Not competing, but he's there on the sidelines. |

Nodar Kumaritashvili. He was a Georgian luger. So sad, he was only 21. Now they've set it up so that the men are starting from the women's spot and the women are starting from the junior spot. They've also added padding and have made the turn where the accident happened safer. |

That's crazy. I heard that he only got like a few seconds of silence. I also read that some Japanese guy was banned because of his attire. whoops :x |

He had an entire minute of silence. That's what we usually give dead people. Hell my old high school only did a 30 second moment of silence |

I'm pretty sure they also dedicated the entire opening ceremony to him, too. The Georgian Olympians got a really loud standing ovation during the Parade of Nations. I completely understand why the other Georgian luger dropped out, but it seems like there was potential for another heartwarming |

For a second there i read it as "team mate came back from the dead to take home the medal." If that happened, I'd expect more then a Visa commercial. That guy would have a shitload of sponsors. |
