I'm disinclined to agree. Then again, I liked FFXII's system, so WHATEVS. |

Let me explain it to you Sent: You have a bar split into 3 parts which fills up over time, you can use each part separately so for example you could use attack each time the bar fills up 1 part, or you could wait for the bar to fill fully and attack 3 times in a row. You get a lot of different abilities that you can use that use varied amounts of the bar so it means that you can chain different things together. I've only played it for less than 3 hours and so far the fighting system seems awesome. I'm thoroughly enjoying the game so far so I'm wondering why the game got reviewed so poorly (as compared to other games in the series). |

I'm 7 hours in, enjoying it a lot. The graphics are beyond great. Once you get paradigms and stuff it becomes even better. |

I second this I loved XII. This game is pretty bad ass so far. Thank god the tutorial isn't a pain so far. I'm a little over an hour into it. Took me a little bit to get used to the camera control though :/ |

Yeah the camera is definitely one of my few complaints. I wish they just adapted FFX's camera. |

I really like the Paradigm shift idea actually, one of my favourite systems was the job system and this seems to be an expansion of that which is pretty cool. I think it got reviewed fairly harshly by most sites, it seems to be great so far and I don't see why it wouldn't deserve a 9+. |

I'm not sure if the paradigm system is helping that much since I have Vanille set to Healer and she isn't healing... or at least not enough to keep me satisfied. Part of me was hoping the battle system would be more customizable than it is at this point. (of course I'm thinking of Dragon Age's awesome custom battle tactics when I say that). I'm also not fully sure if I completely get the crystal chart thing. I'm probably not doing it right but I can only go in one direction. I was under the impression that all I had to do was hold the joystick/d-pad in the direction of the next upgrade I want to obtain and then spend my CP. |

You need to hold X before you move it but that's pretty much the idea. Are you sure you're not trying to link to things you've already learnt? |

You need to make sure you're moving from a skill you have learnt to a skill you haven't. It can be pretty unclear if it's lit or not so check the CP requirements, it should say 0/0 if you've learnt it and 0/X if you haven't. |

Yeah, I was doing that as well for a while. It can be tough to see what you've learnt and what you haven't. Generally if you can find the crystal and work your way through it becomes easier to see. |

The crystarium is pretty simple to me. The layout seemed confusing at first but really, it's exceedingly linear despite appearances. I wanna take control of Snow soon, though, so I can spend aaaaallllll those crystogen points he's accumulated while I was switching between the two other teams. |
