In that scene Yzarc mentioned earlier, you don't just see Giovanni, you actually get to fight him. There's some backstory about the rival, too. Thank god for cheats letting me hack that stupid event Celebi into the game. Huge spoiler: Spoiler: click to toggle

DAMNIT! i just had to toggle!!1 anyway, yeah I love poison pokemon, or rather the idea of poison type pokemon but I am a big fan of several poison pokemon. It'd be cool if the 5th gen game added a few more Poison type moves with higher power and junk. I really liked the addition of Poison Jab in the last game. Does anyone here actually use their pokewalker. I'm a little surprised to see how many watts I have collected by just taking it with me to work. |

Playing this game made me realize how much the series has gone downhill in my eyes. I mean, the rival in the first two generations were awesome, and Silver/Gold became even more awesome after the revelation in this game. Gary was just always badass.... But then look at those two pitiful fools from the last two gens. And the villains have gone downhill too. From a pretty cool mobster-like organization to... eco terrorists and a doomsday cult? What the hell? Sure, sure, we got the Battle Frontier and WiFi and stuff like that in the later gens, but I don't do multiplayer anyway. I'd rather do actual math than try to wrap my head around that EV and Nature-nonsense, and I really hate math. Long story short: H8 |

I totes dropped Feraligatr from my team in favor of...wait for it... OCTILLERY!! This motherfucker has Surf, Ice Beam, Signal Beam and Psychic, a +Special Attack nature, high natural special attack and I gave her the Choice Scarf so she goes kinda fast too. (Yes she is female) I should be less excited about it, I guess, but it's just that its movepool covers like every hole my team had when I was using Feraligatr. I didn't have a way of beating Dark, Fighting or the ridiculously common Weezing, and now I got a bug attack for Dark pokemon and a Psychic attack for Fighting and Weezing (also other poisons, but I still have Mamoswine's Earthquake to rape them) She's level 46 right now, the rest of my team is around 57 (Mamoswine, Arcanine and Magneton) so I'm gonna try to get everyone to low 60s before I take on the Elite Four for the second time. Once I beat them, I'll go ahead and fight Ash/Red at Mt. Silver. |

I still haven't really decided on a team. My highest are in their twentys and that's Crockonaw, Bellsprout and Noctowl, and Flaafy. I have a Beedrill in there but currently I have way too many holes. I had to teach Flaafy Rock Smash to beat Whitney. |

Dang only 4?! I have 5 pokemon I use for battle and one as an HM whore. I switched out Togekiss for Ho-oh just to see what it looked like when its running around with me. I almost don't want to put it back in the PC but I have to. The elite 4 would be boring if I brought in a legendary pokemon. I was considering a grass type but I got bored with Ivysaur. I'm interested in adding shuckle and seeing how that goes...I need to look up what moves it can learn though... It sucks that Ariados sucks. |

Nidoking is awesome. I always had one on my team in the original and revamped 1st and 2nd gen games. in my Fire Red game I have a Nidoking and Nidoqueen on my team which makes double matches fun. I agree with HJ about the series going downhill when it comes to the antagonists. Also, yeah the 4th gen rival was stupid. It would have been better if you had a real rival and the person you didn't pick (if you picked the guyI guess the girl who is supposed to be May or whatever in the series) was the friend that challenged you for fun and junk. I wonder if they'll remake R/S/E in the future...TBH I wasn't THAT crazy about Emerald when I first played it. It felt weird to me. I think it must have been the way it looked or something... I think I'm going to replace Togekiss with Cradily. Do you really need your HM moves when you go into Kanto? (I mean the land ones because I already have Surf,Fly, and Wterfall covered) |

Yeah, you do. There are trees throughout, caves with rock smash rocks and strength rocks. You can do without Whirlpool for sure. I mean, technically you'd probably be okay if you boxed your pokemon with Cut, Rock Smash and Strength and just got them out when you needed them, but that's a huge hassle to me so I usually keep two HM Slaves on hand. I prefer only using 3-4 pokemon. It's more interesting than just using your starter, but you don't have to spend forever training. |

I always use my starter. I've kept Torterra in my team (Pearl) for the longest time. I plan on using Feraligatr long after I beat the game. I'm leveling a Scizor and waiting to see how he turns out before I head out to the pokemon league. If that doesn't turn out well then I'm going with Steelix. I want to have one of the pokemon everyone shat themselves over when Steel types were introduced. and that sucks. I wouldn't mind so much if Strength and Cut had at least 70 base power or something. It'd be awesome if Slash could be used outside of battle since it has a higher critical percentage and junk.... Edited by Light Yagami, Apr 3 2010, 02:06 PM.

I was about to defeat Lance's final Dragonite. Except I forgot that my last Pokemon (Ampharos) had a Choice Scarf, and ran out of PP for Discharge. I got raped Dx I'm trying to find a Heart Scale to teach Gardevoir Icy Wind. That should make the Dragonites easier to defeat. |

I got a heart scale with the pokewalker. Yes I do use that thing, I just throw it in my pocket when I go somewhere and forget about it. |
