My friend Dave (Izumi) didn't recognize a single name I mentioned to him out of like 20 members of the House and 10 Senators and didn't know who the president before Clinton was. And even this idiot heard of the health care plan passing in the House today. The Smash scene KNOWS I'm conservative. Yeah, they're really dumb. Izumi got it and they didn't. LMAO! |

Wow you are stupid. Because of something that "happened" to your family, you say it is impossible to get coverage. |

Sheppard Smith is clean; Baier and Susteren play to the Fox Conservative bias. At any rate, I suppose a year is enough time for deliberations about a Health Care bill and if this is the result, so be it. I sort of have qualms with the fact they made the push to pass it even though it was so hotly contested, but at the same time I can't help but feel they're repeating themselves when you reach a point where there are outbursts of "baby killer!" on the House floor. I'm gonna with Solid on this one when he said that Politics is the gayest sport man has ever invented. |

^This. The Democrats' fates are basically sealed... Yeah, this sucks major dick. It sucks so much, I vented by getting into a semi-flame war with morons on a Facebook discussion topic: That's how angry I was. Oh well...the gloves are coming off in November. |

I like Smith and Greta. Politics is pretty much all theater now. ![]() In spite of Congress's horrific approval rating, we'll probably elect most of the same guys because we dislike the other guy more lol. |

This was a monolithic pile of horseshit. And the worst part is that if you don't like it, you can't opt out! Fucking FINES and JAILTIME for not having insurance. You know why I'm uninsured? Because I'm perfectly HEALTHY and that would be an added unnecessary expenditure! I can pay out of pocket or buy insurance if it does become necessary. Don't even bring up automobile insurance penalties as comparison, either. When you're out on the road, you aren't in full control of your fate, sad as it is to say. That is not only to protect yourself but also others that you may get into an accident with. It sure would fucking suck to have to floor the bill for two new cars if you're found culpable in an accident, wouldn't it? And the comparisons fall apart when you see that one of the primary griefs Democrats brought up was how insurance premiums were on the rise. Well no fucking shit? As a country, we have some unhealthy fucking habits. It's a sad day when the average American waist length is higher than my own. Health insurance got abused from the get go because people looked at it as a smorgasbord, and as the companies were pummeled with claims they had to raise the costs that were passed on to clients to remain commensurate with costs! And denial of service? Pre-existing conditions? Do you know which insurance company denies the most claims each year? MEDICARE. A FUCKING GOVERNMENT AGENCY. And even if not, approval of the quality of services from Medicare is so fucking dismal that lobby companies like AARP exist to squeeze as much out of it on behalf of registrants as they can! How do you like that red tape in your catastrophic care?! YOU'RE GETTING IT NOW! How about that Veteran's Affairs? THEY DO SUCH A GREAT JOB WITH OUR WOUNDED WAR HEROES, DAMN. I WISH I HAD THAT KIND OF CARE. WALTER REED WAS SUCH A GREAT HOSPITAL. This isn't over. There's going to be a fucking red-shift. New Jersey and Massachusetts were only the beginning. And every goddamn Senator who values the seat his overpaid ass sits upon will filibuster every goddamned amendment to the bill that's going to come through Congress. I WILL NOT BE FORCED. |

Baier seems pretty moderate to me, dude. I just watched his program and I usually do every day. His boss and the former host, Brit Hume, was conservative for sure, but Baier? Not really from what I see. Special Report is like a normal news program with no political agenda. It's not Hannity or Beck. Susteren is a Palin fangirl, but I don't see much bias out of her reporting. @Soja: *co-signs* |

I lol'd at the word "mandate" at the beginning of the thread. I honestly don't like this bill. I haven't been paying close attention to it, but I've talked to multiple business owners who claim it might put them out of business. I assume that they've done their research, and honestly from what I know I see where they are coming from. The biggest aggravation of all of this is the way it was brought about. I don't even think either sides really cared about the bill, it seemed to be a competition to see how was a bigger asshole. |

Details, in case anyone was wondering. This site is awesome. I'm covered by mom's insurance plan until I'm 25 so I don't have to really worry yet, but I don't think I'll bitch about an additional tax when I have to pay for my own. I'm pretty sure my dad would have been fucked if he wasn't a veteran. I don't think he actually had a career. But hey that's just me. You guys can go ahead. |

I don't want or need health insurance. The only thing I'd ever need it for is catastrophic injuries. I have 0 health problems and my family has longevity on both sides. I'm at risk for nothing. I don't want to pay even one cent for health insurance. |

It's gonna suck if you find out your genes or luck have failed you. I can't say mine, yours, or Ivan's diets are exactly promising lol. ![]() I haven't been to the hospital myself since I was born, but that doesn't mean I wanna find out I have some sort of serious health issue before I'm covered. I don't treat myself well at all. Edited by Crysta, Mar 22 2010, 06:47 PM.
