I think we need a tall glass of chill the fuck out. This will be my last post on the topic today.

Askio, this could go both ways. However, from where I stand, this is yet another government power grab and an installment of an entitlement program. Given the choice between a program that you're paying for anyway and one that has become so encumbered with liabilities that it becomes unaffordable, which would you choose?

In time, private companies would collapse due to uncontrollable costs while the publicly owned agency will subsist whether it can be afforded or not. Government programs don't go away. I know for sure that the insurance lobby agreed to support the bill after the fine was introduced to the bill because that means that people are now obligated by law to buy a plan. More business for them! In theory.

If it tells you anything, it's going to be the godforsaken IRS overseeing the legal portions of the bill. We're talking about the arm of the government with the power to seize all of your assets if it thinks you are cheating them. If that's not frightening to you, I don't know what is.

I thought the whole point of political debates between friends is to hate each other a little bit more. At least that seems to be the only consequence coming out of it.

lol there's an ad on here advertising Aetna and Humana. :NomNomNom:

As an interesting note, the FEFF root is a conservative and his second-in-command is a female liberal. I can't say politics here really breeds hate, even if the debate gets heated. Sent probably likes me more than Inui actually lol. :psypoke:

Being liked more than me is not an accomplishment. "Tallest Hobbit" ring a bell? GJ.

There is a light that never goes out...

What, so you don't want me to like you more than her? I'm disappointed that my affection isn't something desired by all, now.

Where is this rage you speak of? I was very disappointed in some people (liberals) but never got angry.

Bitterness. I was hoping the word would imply less potency than rage.

Oh the public option was taken out? So what does it actually do now?

I agree with Askio. We need a system like Canada or Europe. At least that way wouldn't insurance companies need to compete with the government's plan? As a result driving down the prices of overly priced health insurance? Buisnesses spend buckets of money on health care a year. If they didn't have to shoulder that cost (at least less of it), then that money could be spent on making our products compeditive on the world market. At least that's how I see it.
You're lying or trolling in this post then? :kermit:

Debating over the internet tastes like lemons doused in salt.

Since I jump into the crossfire a lot more than some people, I'm probably just more comfortable with it lol.

This is light shit compared to Smashboards. I'm glad I'm out of that giant shitstorm of shit. To top it all off, the moderating team is extremely strict, meaning infractions and bans happen for anything and everything.
