Do you think genetic engineering should be allowed? In case you don't know, genetic engineering is where you take a gene of a person (or other organism), and change it. This can change things like appearnce, and even cure some diseases. This is already posssible, but it is expensive. Of course it will eventually come down in price and become more popular. My question is whether it should be banned. Some people see it as inhumane and just wrong, and that if something was going to happen then you shouldn't change it. I think that in some circumstances it should be allowed. For example, if you knew your unborn chuld was going to be born with a disease and you could cure it by gentic engineering, then yes, you should be allowed. However if you just want your child to look like you, then no, it should be banned. |

It should be allowed. I see nothing wrong with genetic engineering.

I don't know too much about genetic engineering, but I don't think we should get to the point of Gattacca. Though it would be cool to use it to study ancient animals that have been long extinct. We could have a real Jurassic Park. |
