Simons Gunpla Shop - Plavsky Particle Arena
Colony Stage 2: Half City and Half Woodland with a large bridge leading to the inner shafts
Simulated Time: High Noon; Weather: Mostly Clear with a fair amount of clouds
OOC Time Stamp: 9:46PM PST, 2-12-14

Gunpla Choice: GBK-1002 ZAKU Blizzard

Simons Gunpla shop was a very popular place to be, Renji casually walked by at times and would see plenty of people both young and middle aged walking and out of the store. He was amazed at just how much the world of Gunpla grew and that even people of older ages were drawn in as well. The shop was also a good place to meet people and discover new rivals and friends, to day was no different for Renji would learn today if his opponent would be an awesome friend along his journey to become a Gunpla Champion or a powerful rival that would try to stop Renji along the way. As he entered the room with multiple Plavsky particle arena's, he set his shoulder bag down on a near by chair and took out an old favorite, his custom ZAKU Warrior with the custom Blizzard Wizard equipment pack. "This should be fun, nothing like a friendly match to get the blood flowing."" Renji though.

Walking over to the Plavsky Arena console, the computer spoke up.

"Please Set Your GP Base"

Renji approached and set his GP console into the slot, as it activated, he set the Gunpla on top, the console confirming the name and unit specifications. Before his eyes, the virtual cockpit materialized around him, Renji grasping the control units firmly before the confirmation to launch and begin came up.

"ZAKU Blizzard Warrior, Here I go!", Renji said firmly.

The ZAKU was sent off the virtual catapult and entered mid altitude within the colony walls. The ZAKU lowered down to street level and landed near a three story building, readying the beam rifle as the Renji awaited his opponent.

Gunpla Choice: RX-79BD-1 GM Blue Destiny Unit 1 (Basic equipment.)

Fred had finally found one of his most sought after kits today, and made the purchase just a short time ago. The Blue Destiny was one of his favorite GMs, and he had been unable to find the kit anywhere, it had even been out of stock online, or where he'd looked anyway. Regardless, he'd wasted no time in purchasing it, and had put the thing together at the store, which was one thing he liked about being here, it was a lot more convenient in Japan since they had spots just for putting the things together right in the stores. Though it hadn't been long after he put the thing together that some other guy had issued an open challenge to other shoppers here.

His new Blue Destiny only had the basics, but he figured he may as well use the thing anyway. No point to getting it if he wasn't gonna use it in any games after all. So he'd accepted the guy's challenge and now found himself setting up for the game. The guy had a ZAKU, which was honestly one of his favorite Zaku designs, but he still liked GM-style units a lot more. Once the system was ready, Fred had placed his new kit down, along with his GP base and allowed his unit to launch. He knew it was a colony, which worked well for him since his unit lacked beams, which could be a problem, though he knew they had more of a risk when they hit the reactor anyway. Besides that, it looked like the colony from 0080, specifically where the Zaku Kai had fought the Alex, so he knew the terrain pretty decently.

He wasn't about to go in the air in this kind of situation, and knew that he could do well in the city with this machine. So he decided to stay in there, as he had his unit begin walking through the city to find his opponent, no sense standing around since he'd probably never find the enemy, plus he wanted to test this thing out anyway. He'd decided to have it walk to avoid crashing into anything, plus he didn't want to be going to fast to spot the enemy and pass by the ZAKU. He had the GM holding the grip for the machine gun to steady it, and kept looking around him to spot the ZAKU as it passed the buildings, though he was making an attempt to stick around structures as tall or taller than his unit.

There was no way of knowing if the opponent Renji was facing had entered the battlefield yet, though he had to assume the person was already there because the atmosphere felt a little quiet. Just as Renji began to move through the city streets, a faint sensor blip picked up a signal for just second. The target had then disappeared into the city, so Renji assumed they both would be walking blindly until they found one or the other. Moving a few controls, the ZAKU began walking through the streets peeking around corners in case there was someone there. The colony stage was not too big, but it was definitely a maze if both contenders planned on staying low. There were so many places to hide, that included the colonies inner shafts.

Coming to a four way intersection, the sensors had found the enemy opponent. The ZAKU burst into a power walk, Renji coming to a second four way before stopping. Looking around both corners, he spotted the GM type getting closer. "There you are!" Taking a deep breath, the ZAKU moved out from behind the street corner and opened fire. A moment into the attack, three missiles were launched from the left leg launcher followed by a single shot from the beam rifle aimed at the GM types legs.

Moving to avoid any immediate counter attacks, Renji moved the ZAKU to an adjacent street right of where the GM would have looked and began speeding down to try and flank the target.

"Now lets see what your all about!", Renji boasted.

Fred picked up an alert as he was moving in, obviously it was the enemy since there wasn't anyone else. Sure enough, right after getting the alert he saw that the thing had fired some of it's missiles at him along with the beam rifle. Using the abilities of the Blue Destiny, he simply boosted behind a building to avoid the fire, the missiles had too many obstacles to fire off from that kind of range in a city, and the beam was dumbfire so he didn't have any problems as the missiles impacted on one of the buildings around him.

He had the machine crouch and peeked around his cover, aiming with his machine gun, but the enemy had moved from his original position, which annoyed Fred slightly but wasn't unexpected. The enemy had moved on, likely to find another spot to attack him from, which made sense but that meant they'd be assuming that he'd still be in the same general area, since they wouldn't be moving to a point that they'd be too far from him. He knew there were a couple things he could do, though several of them would have him not taking the initiative so he put those aside for now.

He activated the Blue Destiny's thrusters, deciding on using height to his advantage since gunpla didn't register height on sensors like the real thing would have. He landed on a building, before taking a thruster assisted jump into the air, which allowed him to see the enemy due to his height, or rather see where he was since he was unable to see more than the tips of the missile launchers sticking out. Even so, he kicked in his machines thrusters and boosted over the enemy, firing down a seven round burst slightly ahead of the enemy machine to lead his target, since it was boosting, before landing on top of another roof.

After getting his footing, Fred has his machine jump down off the building so that he'd land behind it. The vertical movement and different attack vectors was his plan to use the limited visibility to his advantage. Height was the only reliable way to spot the enemy if you couldn't already see them, but if they saw you in the air, you were dead, the only reason he'd gone in the air was that the enemy wouldn't be expecting him to do that. Even so, the enemy had a beam rifle so he had to keep moving. After he'd landed, Fred had the Blue start to move down another block.

There was no way of knowing if the GM had been hit by Renji's attack, seeing as there was no signal to a battle end, the result was obvious. Sensor read outs told him the enemy GM was still in the area after the dust had settled, the question that was left; how much damage did Renji inflict? The world of Gunpla was a tricky one because so many people began to join the franchise. The person he was facing was apparently really good, because this match had a crazy atmosphere to it. Once again, he sensors picked u p the enemy machine on the move. Watching it approach from his side on the tracker, there seemed to be no possible way for any direct contact. However, the GM surprised Renji as it leapt over head, it had apparently used the roof tops of the buildings to get an altitude advantage. Using 90 degree pivot to the left, the ZAKU came to a halt as the bullets impacted the shield. There were a few dents for now, but the shield integrity would need to be considered in the future. Pivoting 90 degrees back to the right, the ZAKU moved over to the next street on foot, then activated its boosters, skiing along the streets.

The GM seemed to be gaining distance, so he copied the opponent and jumped on top of city rooftops. He could see the enemy still gaining distance, so he opened fire with three Beam Rifle shots to the GM's backpack. The dropped back to street level as it moved to close the distance between the two. Now on the same street, Renji hoped to draw the enemy closer to hit.

"Oh no you don't! Stay still!", Renji said.

Fred hadn't seen when his shots impacted, but when the ZAKU had followed him it was obvious that he hadn't caused any major damage, it appeared that he'd only managed to hit the shield, still, it was better than missing. The ZAKU had copied him, going up onto some of the rooftops for an attack, the difference was that the enemy had fired a beam rifle at him, whereas he had a machine gun. He didn't consider himself outgunned, but he knew that the enemy had a higher chance of surviving a hit than he did, his best bet was to avoid any hits at all.

With this in mind, he'd activated the thrusters, sending the Blue onto another street to get away from the beams, though he hadn't been fast enough to get entirely out of the way, and had lost the claws on his shield. While on this other street, Fred had his machine grab a beam saber in the left hand, since the enemy unit seemed to be trying to close with him, though he didn't activate the weapon yet.

Instead, he boosted across the street, passing in front of the enemy machine and firing a five round burst at it's torso before he started using the buildings on this side of the street as concealment. He knew that the beam rifle wouldn't have trouble with most of the stuff in this area, but he also knew that a beam had to be on target to do damage, and if the enemy couldn't see him through the building, then he had less to worry about.

Renji smirked as he could not confirm if he landed any hits, the movements of his opponent were normal yet unpredictable to say the least. This was getting fun and the excitement only fueled Renji to push his skills to their limits with this guy. As the GM turned down yet another street, but before Renji could change as well, the GM popped back up firing its machine gun at him and then going the opposite direction on the same street. The ZAKU stooped dead as the bullets impacted the shield, a round smacking off the command horn and another scraping the upper edge of the right shoulder. Things were now also getting dangerous as both fighters were obviously aware of each other now.

Waiting to see what would happen, the ZAKU then took off from the ground and into the air. He then noticed the GM type was trying to circle around him. That was a bold strategy indeed, but because flight in colonies allowed ground based units like this ZAKU and that GM to move in the air, there was a somewhat advantage to utilize. Flipping the controls to activate the Beam Gatling guns, Renji sprayed two 30 bolt bursts down at the GM's front, then lowed the ZAKU back down to street level behind the GM and taking pursuit once again.

Fred had forgotten that his opponent was equipped with beam weapons, which unlike his own weapons wouldn't be stopped by the buildings around them, which wasn't exactly helping his plan in staying on the ground, though the buildings obviously still worked as concealment. The enemy must have realized this as well though, since he'd gone into the air, and while a more open target up there, you could also be much more mobile. Still, Fred felt that the advantages to being in the city outweighed those of being in the air, since he could hide from his target if needed.

Once in the air, the enemy had started firing down at Fred with the beam gatings, something else he'd forgotten about. He'd boosted around, getting behind another building to get away from the enemy target, but his machine gun was destroyed by a few of the beams fired by the enemy machine. As he saw the enemy unit drop back down, he knew that at this point he had to press the attack to win. His main weapon was down so he figured that he'd go all in at this point.

So Fred had the machine activate the EXAM system, which caused the visor to turn red as the limiters were removed. He tossed what was left of his machine gun and drew the second beam saber in his right hand since there wasn't a reason not to do so at this point. Once that was taken care of, he used the higher mobility to boost down a side street and get around to the side of the ZAKU. He then turned to face the enemy machine and started boosting toward him, using the increased speed of the Blue to go through buildings to get to the target, rather than moving above or around them.

He was hoping, that due to his previous attack the enemy would assume he'd once again jumped up onto buildings, in an attempt to get the drop on him. Besides that, how many people would expect an enemy machine to burst through a building like that? Sure it probably wasn't great for the gunpla, but it wasn't impossible either, and if all went well it would give him an advantage over his opponent.

Regardless, he felt that Blue was a good unit for it, as the machine was fairly terrifying in the canon, and having that thing bust through a building next to you was never a good feeling. Once he'd gotten through the building that was next to the target, Fred activated both beam sabers and sliced at the enemy machine with both of the weapons in the small confines of the street. Even without his machine gun he knew that he wasn't totally defenseless, as he still had the machine cannons and missiles, but it would have been harder for him to press an attack using those.
