This thread is for the discussion of my upcoming Flash game, Godzilla: Daikaiju Battle Royale, which will be released here on Toho Kingdom’s main site!
What is G:DBR?It is a fighting game that will feature a wide variety of everyone’s favorite Kaiju from the Godzilla universe! It can be played against a computer opponent or with a friend. All the graphics are completely new, designed and animated by myself. G:DBR will feature classic Godzilla tracks remixed by omgitsgodzilla.
The Game - Updated(12/25/12)After much consideration, I've decided to release the game earlier than I had originally planned.

I felt bad that not everyone was getting to enjoy it! While I'm sure some bugs may pop up once in a while, the more people playing it, the quicker I'll find them and be able to fix them anyhow. I've been able to fix quite a few of the big ones thanks to my few early playtesters.

Thank you again for your feedback Melissa (not a member of TK in case you were wondering who that is), LivingCorpse, and Zilla

Also would like to thank GIGAN05 for providing the accurate final form Biollante roar! Once I get a really polished version, I'll send it off to Arbok or Vega to have it posted on Toho Kingdom for a direct download, but for now its just going to be playable on this link. Also, be sure to still stop back on the forum again on Christmas, I may still have another surprise up my sleeve for ya!

Well without any further delay, here's the full game! Enjoy!
GODZILLA DAIKAIJU BATTLE ROYALE GAMEUpdated Changes (12/25/12)- Fixed the problem with Jet Jaguar and other Kaiju freezing randomly during a fight and being unable to end a battle.
- Battra, Leo, and Garuda's basic attacks are toned down a little.
- Leo 1996's Lightning Attack does less damage.
- Zilla's firebreath (both forms) now cost less to perform. Still weak attacks, but can use them more often to inflict more damage.
- Burning Godzilla's special moves don't spasm anymore if you try to use them during a jump.
- Gorosaurus' Kangaroo Kick inflicts more damage.
- Fixed Gigan 2004 and Burning Godzilla from doing an infinite looping freeze animation
- After much searching through Anguirus' coding, I found one thing that may have been the cause to the controls switching to 2 player mode. Hopefully this is now fixed.
- Random Button still stays even after unlocking the Platinum Monsters
- Put in the password to unlock everyone for a Christmas surprise

I also posted a link that 16- Bit White Guys did a review of G-Fest and that G:DBR showed up at 9:32 in the video.
(Link to the Video) Anyhow Mystery Monster 3 shows up in the video, however, I've noticed with several of the speculation lists that have popped up that this Kaiju is still listed as though its not been confirmed. Regardless of whether or not you knew about this Kaiju, its good to have an official confirmation and to see it in a clear image and not a recorded television screen. Again, I please ask to be careful not to reveal the Kaiju when posting

Click to PlayFuture Monster Reveals:I plan to reveal one Kaiju a week, every week, until December 1st. However, you guys will have a key role in who gets revealed next. After every reveal, I’ll list two words that give clues to two different Kaiju, and you guys will vote (once per person) throughout the weekend on which word seems most intriguing to you. On Monday I’ll tally the votes, and then on Thursday I’ll reveal the winning Kaiju that the word described. Come to this original post here to see what the current poll is and to see who has all been revealed so far.
Image RequestsEveryone can request one image! Pick 2 monsters from the Kaiju revealed so far (The only exception is Zone Fighter since he is still being worked on), the area, and whether you want it to be day or night.
Final Poll(12/5/2012)Alright guys, here's the last poll before release (even if the game isn't released on Christmas, it'll be shortly after, you won't be waiting another year). You have 3 options:
1.
Mystery Monster 3: Someone completely new, may or may not be the one Godzilla Lover101 leaked. (I'm clueless to who was leaked at the moment of this post )
2.
Remade Monster: For those of you not wanting to find out any more of the newcomers, but would still like to see the improvement that was done on an already known monster.
3.
Story slide from Arcade Mode: If you'd like something completely different from a monster reveal, this option is for you. You'll see one of the images for the story of Arcade Mode.
Remaining Godzilla Incarnations Poll Results (8/8/2012)The Godzilla incarnation poll has ended, and the results have been tallied and analyzed in several categories! It’s quite interesting how the results vary depending on what aspect you look at it.
Total Score:
1. Godzilla 1954 – 176
2. Burning Godzilla – 171
3. Godzilla 2004 – 145
4. Super Godzilla – 141
5. Godzilla 1984 – 115
6. Godzilla 1968/72 – 93
7. Godzilla 1975 – 92
8. Godzilla 2002/03 – 79
9. Godzilla 1955 – 60
9. Godzilla 1989/91 – 60
10. Godzilla 1965/66 – 45
11. Godzilla 1967 – 22
One thing I found surprising about the poll was how well Godzilla 1975 did. I thought with Godzilla 1973 being in, he would have been lower in favor of more unique designs. I was also surprised at how well Super Godzilla did considering he is not canon to the movies. Then again, this is a video game universe we’re talking about in G:DBR
Total Votes:
1. Godzilla 1954 - 18
1. Burning Godzilla – 18
2. Godzilla 2004 – 16
2. Super Godzilla – 16
3. Godzilla 1984 – 15
4. Godzilla 2002/03 – 13
5. Godzilla 1968/72 – 12
5. Godzilla 1975 – 12
6. Godzilla 1955 – 10
6. Godzilla 1989/91 – 10
7. Godzilla 1965/66 – 9
8. Godzilla 1967 – 8
While the top 5 remained the same on this list, it is interesting to note that Godzilla 2002/03 was actually voted for more than G68 and G75. However, while SOS Godzilla was on more people’s minds, he was never ranked very high when mentioned, so his score wasn’t as high as the other two.
Average Scores:
1. Godzilla 1954 – 9.8
2. Burning Godzilla – 9.5
3. Godzilla 2004 – 9.1
4. Super Godzilla – 8.8
5. Godzilla 1968/72 – 7.8
6. Godzilla 1975 – 7.7
6. Godzilla 1984 – 7.7
7. Godzilla 2002/03 – 6.1
8. Godzilla 1955 – 6
8. Godzilla 1989/91 – 6
9. Godzilla 1965/66 – 5
10. Godzilla 1967 – 2.8
While 1954, Burning, Final Wars, and Super remained solid throughout all the categories, G68’s average score was actually a little higher than G84’s. In addition, G75 was also high enough to tie with G84.
Overall this poll was quite fun and informative as to how to move forward with Godzilla incarnations. As the poll shows, there’s a lots of factors to take into considerations.

Thank you for participating!
