Been reading up about all the crazy things introduced recently like no toilet visits for last hour of flight, no getting anything out of your bag for same and these bloomin body scanners that they are bringing in. Personally it would be enough to put me off flying at all but does it bother any of you?? sn0wman |

I just don't like flying, so anything that makes me feel even a teeny, weeny bit safer helps!! |

No wouldn't stop me flying......the toilet thing could be a bit of a pain (quite literally) but I guess you would just have to make sure you went before then ;) |

Wouldn't put me off flying, in fact it should make it a bit safer, although, heard that the body scanners don't show up gel or liquid and that's what the last guy was using...though unsuccessfully |

It wouldn't put me off flying-how else would I get over to see you all? The boat takes too long!! Reminds me of how I got the thorough search/pat down at Benbecula airport, of all places. Maybe I was the only passenger they didn't recognize! rofl |

Wouldn't put me off....for some reason I'm always the one they pull to one side for a more thorough search.....must have a guilty look about me. :A |

I seem to be in the minority then - I just think the whole thing has become a total intrusion into your privacy. I will just have to stay firmly on the ground lol. |

Hmm, I suppose it has, and depending on how many flights you take in a year....how many times you are flashing your bod to different people....could be embarrassing  |

I would still fly, because I more or less have to, but it would really annoy me - such an intrusion, and unnecessary. They should do more filtering of who they screen, by trained observers, as all the security experts say, rather than screen everyone. And not just intrusion but enormous cost and potential danger from the scanning technology (rays etc). I think they are just terrified of getting prosecuted for discrimination as the potentially guilty-looking ones they would have to call aside may be more Arabs etc. (given the provenance and field of operation of Al Qaida, rather than any innate terrorist tendencies, I hasten to add!) |

Must admit , ive clocked up quite a few air miles , and think the more security checks the better . Iam not worried about the "body scanners". Whats the worst it will say ? .."Sorry your not Brad Pitt " . Think i knew that before i walked in there .. rofl And for people who dont like all the checks , scans, searches , etc . This is the way i look at it . If your at home , and your partner has to go some where for a job , or family buisness , wouldnt you hope they do all the checks possible so that your loved one comes home safely ? |
