this weeks plan 10/6; apologies for missing 2nd meeting

First I want to apologize for missing the 2nd meeting. I have some personal stuff going on that I won't be available in the evenings anymore. I'll still check this board and just to keep the wheels turning if someone else wants to step up and help with the organization of the project I certainly wouldn't mind. In any case I can still make sunday morning meetings and that seems like enough to keep us moving forward.

This weeks meeting was productive as always, thanks to everyone who attended.

One thing that was brought up was that the music team member who was responsible for our title theme is MIA and is in sole possession of some of the tools the music team needs to proceed. Since this is a volunteer project we should expect people to come and go, the most important thing is that the project be able to keep moving forward. Thats why everything we work on should be public as well as the tools and instructions someone would need to replicate our work. If someone on your team is working on something please make sure that it can be duplicated should that person decide to leave.

Goals for 10/6

1. polish the title screen - real title, better font, an "action" sound
2. polish level select screen - currently playable but really rough, needs much more work such as background and more "structure"
3. finish implementing layout for plains level - Unity work making layout for plains level playable
4. more sprite work, specifically jumping/falling sprites would really help the game move forward
5. (desired but optional) start work on caves level - so far sprawls and ylla have been doing good programming work, we really need someone to step up and make an attempt at implementing the caves level design that snappydog posted, if you don't know programming or Unity come to IRC or PM me and we can set up a time that I can walk you through everything

Thanks for everyones hard work, we will keep moving forward and eventually get this done!

Thanks Sprawl. I messaged him yesterday as well. Once we get those we should be able to push out more tracks for the game. I've dedicated this entire afternoon today to getting more sounds completed and implemented, and will begin work on the caves level this week. I will be in the IRC channel once I get home in case anyone needs me or I have any questions!

edit: to any audio members, I do have both a dropbox and google drive folder set up to share with our department to ensure this stuff doesn't happen again. Please read our audio standards post or PM me if you still need access!
