It took me somewhere between three and four solid hours of attempts just to finish the freaking Breezin' version.

Are you sure you don't mean Cruisin' AKA normal mode? Because I find that statement kinda hard to believe O_o

Ya I'm not a big fan of 2 of the optional songs either. It's more because of the beat layouts than anything else. Survivor on HR is oh so nasty. So is ABC, though that song has a weird beat layout anyways. And it's cover isn't that great either.

Speaking of HR I managed to get my 3rd S rank today. I got bored so I was doing random songs to even out my scores and I managed a perfect S rank for La La on HR. Took me a little while but the song really isn't all that hard. So that makes 3 S ranks on 3 different difficulties so far.

I just wish I could get better than a B on Canned Heat Sweatin. No matter how many times I try attempt the song it just doesn't happen. I think I'm going to try working on Your the Inspiration and possibly Rock this Town for my next 2 S ranks. Wish me luck.

Actually it was probably a bit less than three hours now that I think about it, but it still took me a good while.

Also, consider these things:

- I was staying up late, and very tired. It was almost 4am local time before I got to sleep.
- I had already been playing a while when I got here, so I was a tad burnt out to begin with.
- I pretty much played straight through the game without taking that much time to hone my skills or improve. I mean, I did do SOME of that, particularly on the songs I liked, but probably nowhere near what most of you all do. I think the most times I ever repeated the same episode (aside from JJF), was seven or eight.
- Last but not least, I can't emphasize this enough: this is my first music/rhythm video game ever.

And yes, it was the Breezin' mode.

In that case feel free to ignore my comment. I think I've been playing this game for too long because the modes outside of HR aren't really all that bad now. Varying on the song Sweatin actually feels easy to me now.

I'm sure you'll get better so no worries ^_^

Don't worry, it's my first rhythm game, too, and I had similar problems. It took me about three hours to get through JJF on Cruisin'. I went back to it after getting perfect B's on most of the other songs on that mode and managed a near-perfect B within 15 minutes. You'll be shocked by much easier the game gets with some practice.

I'm here to throw in some late love for EBA. I just got it today, and I'm pretty hooked. I can't get past JJF (on easy... did anyone else start with easy? Seems not); of course I haven't put hours of time into it (err, yet). I don't listen to much mainstream music, but even the songs I hated coming into the game are tolerable due to the level of fun.

Justin- I also really dig "Makes No Difference." I used to be big into DBZ when I was little (third, fourth grade), and I remember that song closing out some movie or something. I don't if it's the Nostalgia, but that song is by far my favorite on EBA.

I started on Easy; that's really the best way to get used to the difficulty level from the start. Although Easy doesn't do a whole lot to prepare you for normal.

I haven't even tried a single song on easy, and now I doubt I could because I imagine it's incredibly slow, and I'm so used to hard now >_>
