It's so incredibly fun to just play it. It's so intuitive and visceral and now my mom, dad, five year old brother, grandma and grandpa are playing. It seems like Nintendo was right. |

Congrats, Rumour! Damn... I told my parents about Wii Sports and they're all hyped to play. My dad is like, "I want boxing! I want boxing!" I was highly amused by it all... Hopefully on Christmas we'll all be playing with the Wii. Maybe they'll like it enough to allow me to hook it up to our HD TV.

This might be blasphemy, but I'm more excited about playing another round of tennis than going back to Zelda. |

Another thing is... all these "mini-game" games are probably just "testing grounds" for developers to see what can be done with the Wiimote, while they prepare the "real" titles. Glad you're having fun though! If Nintendo makes Wii Sports 2, you bet your ass it'll have online play. |

I actually think that they'll probably just end up moving these techniques to full-fledged Wii games. Mario Tennis, Golf, Punch Out, etc. |

Not really. I'm playing it on composite on our 50" DLP and it looks fine. Well, as fine as WiiSports is supposed to look, anyway. Trauma Center and Zelda both look good, too. |

I'm playing this with my friend and I'm finding the tennis opponents far too easy. It seems to randomly determine their skill level, is there any way to choose harder opponents? |

The skill of the opponents is based on the skill of your Mii. They get harder as you play more. |

So, I've played a few hours with Wii Sports now, and I have to say, it is indeed fun. The graphics are a lot nicer than I actually anticipated - they're really not much to look at, and there are lots of jaggies, but overall, a lot cleaner than I originally thought. Out of all the sports, I'd have to say that baseball is probably the most disappointing. Not having control over your team on the field really makes it difficult to get into. The different pitches don't really seem to have that much of an effect, but the batting is superb. I'd have to say that the most spot-on is bowling, probably. It's amazing, really. My ball tends to curve to the right when I'm at the lanes, and in Wii Sports, exactly the same thing happens. It is, however, tremendously easier to actually knock the pins down here. They lack the weight that the standard pins have. Tennis is fun, but I imagine that it's loads better when you play it with another person, or another three people. Unfortunately, at the moment, I only have on Wiimote, so for now we have to take turns with that. Golf is probably the prettiest of the five, for me, although it seems nearly impossible to get a hole-in-one. I bet it isn't, but just the way the mechanics work... Boxing is probably the most chaotic, and as a result, the most hilarious to watch. The controls here aren't as precise at all, but it's still amusing to watch the Miis duke it out. I found myself wincing when my Mii took a hit to the head. Flailing about seems to have the sam effect as meticulously planning your moves, but it's more amusing than anything. Training mode is hella fun though, and some of the bowling and tennis challenges are amusing to tinker with all by themselves. I do have to say that I was slightly tired after playing Wii Sports, but nothing that I couldn't shake off in 15 minutes or so. Then again, I was playing it very physically, so... Cute and fun as a pack-in? Of course, but I wouldn't purchase it as a stand-alone. It's more or less what I expected from it, so I'm neither disappointed nor entirely captivated by it. |

Yeah, I'm actually really surprised that it's selling so well in Japan. I mean, 50% more than Zelda? Wow. |

I just played it yesterday night with my parents (who got me it as a Christmas present). I've not seen my mum laugh and enjoy herself this much in a while, not to mention that this is the first videogame that she herself actually enjoys. Oh, and don't play tennis in front of your dogs. I did that, and my two dogs started "talking" (i.e. barking and growling in curiosity) at me before going completely bonkers and jumping on my parents. o_o |

I'm pretty sure that Zelda is more of an American franchise. |
