Okay so just on my daily journey through my internet gaming sites and I come across Lunar Knights, developed by Konami for the DS. It is said to be "Boktai's successor" but that means nothing to me because I never played Boktai. Anyway, I watched a trailer for it (Lunar Knights) and it looked like it had potential. Does anybody know anything about this little series and have any opinions on it one way or the other? :ph43r: |

The Boktai series was fun. The cartridges all had a light sensor on them and the game changed based on how much sun you played in. They took out the light sensor for Lunar Knights and just added a real time weather engine on the top screen. The Boktai games were all stealth/action games, sort of like portable Metal Gear Solid but with less stealth. Lunar Knights is supposed to take the action even further, though. |

This MAY turn out to be the first "Boktai" game I play now that they've mercifully eliminated the stupid sunlight sensor. I've heard only good things about the game itself so far, so here's hoping... |

I am totally in love with Lunar Knights. It's one of the games that I'm heavily anticipating for the DS. Two playable characters, the Casket Rocket, fun-looking action... I have the original Boktai, but I've yet to try it. |

This is great! I am glad this game is being anticipated by this board. I can't wait for it to hit our shores so it can be discussed! And yes, the trailers show 2 main characters, Lucian and Aaron. Lucian being a swordsman with the power of the Moon and Aaron being a sharpshooter with the power of the Sun. Anybody know if the storylines will be connected in any fashion? |

Boktai was kinda fun. It's nice to see Konami still pursuing that, although they should have been pursuing it back when Capcom was localizing Battle Network 6. HINT HINT CAPCOM. I always thought the game just screamed for real-time weather over the sunlight sensor too. I'd love to see how they integrate rain, fog and stuff into the psuedo-stealth. |
