ff12 is pretty cool. it's gorgeous, i like the story so far, there's some great potential to the battle system. but i'm not playing it! i'm not really sure why. i think i just got annoyed at being presented with situations that demanded a tactical solution i don't actually have available to me. maybe the balance wouldn't work as well otherwise, but i'm just not a big fan of having to wait so long before i can get my hands on some debuffs and all the element types, among other things. so i'm kind of out of the moment, not disinterested in ff12 forever but also no longer frothing at the mouth to play it. i have free time where i feel like playing a game but don't really know whether to go back to ff12, or put it on hold to start or continue another rpg that i'm interested in at the moment. there's a bunch of good stuff on my plate, as it were, so it's not an easy choice. help me decide, abyss! |

Rather than vote for anything I'm going to make a pest of myself and ask the age old question. Where are you stuck? : P |

FFXII, RS:MS and Nocturne, in that order. Well, FFXII depends on where you are in the game; if you're past a certain point it's not going to change much and you might as well move on, but if you're still early-ish on I would suggest that you continue playing for a few more hours (I would say get to Raithwall's tomb) and then see if anything changes for you. |

i think i left off somewhere near raithwall? it's more that my interest waned, didn't play it for a few days and now i'm not playing anything. if i didn't have a bunch of other games sitting around i wouldn't be so quick to jump ship, but... |

In that case, you should probably move on to RS:MS. I would come back later to see if you have a change of heart as happens every so often, but don't bother with it anymore for now if you're not enjoying yourself at that point. |

Chalk up another vote for Nocturne. DDS1+2 and Koudelka are worth playing too. I haven't finished any of the other games on your list. |

Add yet another to Nocturne. That game is too great to not be played. |

Evergrace, sharc, Evergrace. Hah, in all seriousness, considering that I've played 0 of the games that you've mentioned, I'd probably suggest Nocturne, as it's my most pressing need-to-be-played game as well. And from what I've heard everyone say, don't play DDS2 until you've played DDS1. |

If you haven't already made a decision I say play TotFL. I hope you'll get around to playing all of the listed games, but I think you'll love TotFL. It makes you think, and that is a good thing. You can't just fly into battle like a dumb nut, you'll get reamed. |

TotFL or read a synopsis/plot spoiler of DDS1 and dive into DDS2. |

guys guys i already played dds1. i'm either replaying dds1 for all the extra stuff or continuing on into dds2. at any rate, this has helped narrow down the games i should try to play as soon as possible: nocturne, minstrel's song, and tale of the forsaken land. arx fatalis is tempting, but i have to do a lot of work to get my gaming pc and the space around it operational, so i think it will get played a litte further down the line. i am making up for my neglect by playing the first gabriel knight though. |

It doesn't really matter when you play RS:MS, because it's so pick-up-and-play and the Quest Log is so well made and you can save anywhere you want to, which means you can play in any amount of time that you have. |

QFT. My only real problem with RS:MS is that its final battle is actually one of the worst parts of the game due to it being excessively unfair and limiting your possible tactics against it. It's just not a whole lot of fun to fight the final boss. Overall it's a wonderful game with a wonderful presentation, excellent music and awesome gameplay. There's a lot to do overall and you have many choices when it comes to building your team. I can't recommend starting it up more. |
