Well, I walked into the local Gamestop to pick up my copy of Portrait of Ruin a few days ago... and what do I find while I'm waiting, but that KQ1 - 7 have been re-released in a single package, for actual friggin retail, on a disc(s?) that supposedly runs on Windows XP (they even printed that on both sides of the box). I was tempted to pick it up, what with the KQ series being the stuff of legends supposedly, but I figured since it's a PC game and I've never been a huge fan of adventure style games (not that I hate them, just never got really "into" them), I'd better do the research first. So what do you guys think? Is it worth picking up? And if so, does anyone happen to know if this collection really does run reliably on Windows XP, and if they've been patched and all that? Or should I just play the other adventure games on my backlog (namely The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Shadow of Destiny, and Trace Memory) and forget about this entirely? |

Hell yes. KQVI alone is worth the price. |

if it's worth $20, then it's worth $15. it still looks like one unspired compilation, made with no love, or manuals, or much of anything. but what did you expect from vivendi? edit: oh my those are some dismaying customer reviews. |

Ugh. Okay, screw this. I don't care if there's 100 games on there and they're the best games ever, that kind of crap isn't worth putting up with. And I need to finish The Longest Journey anyways... Thanks for the input guys. |
