As the description stated, none of the above is not an answer B) Not all of the CDs belong to me, but I find all of them at least tolerable.

I'm not too into the Mountain Goats. It was a tough choice between Doolittle and Funeral, but I went with Doolittle. Crane Wife is also excellent, although I prefer Castaways and Cutouts.

New Order.
Honerable mention for the pixies, but Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, and Steven Morris are gods.

Doh, Krafty should be Waiting for the Siren's call.

I had assumed so...

If for no other reason than "Turn" it's head and shoulders above the rest of the discs you've listed.

GODS I say! GODS!!!

(Listening to 'Low Life' as I type.)

I have been both a fan of Joy Division and New Order for quite some time, but it it was not for your recommendation, I would have most likely skipped out on their most recent release. Which would have been a shame, since it is quickly becoming one of favorites.

Neat... except I can't quite remember if/when I recommended it.
It's a really strong album, The only track on it I don't like is "Guilt is a useless emotion." awesome name for a song, but not exactly worth having on the album twice (well, its on the U.S. release twice... now a remix of Dracula's Castle, that would have been a proper bonus track.)

And let me repeat this for the good of non New Order/Joy Division fans that may be reading this. GODS! ...or at least very close...

Give them a shot. I recommend "Get Ready" (2001) as the gateway drug album; but "Singles" is a suitable alternative if you want something more career spanning/ greatest hits-ish.

Crane Wife isn't the Decemberist's best album, but it's a solid release, however I'd have to say The Arcade Fire album deserves nods.

I only recently discovered the Decemberists. I have only listened to the Crane Wife and I would like to hear more of their work. Most people have suggested Picaresque. Do you have any suggestions?

Indeed, that and Castaways and Cutouts is a close second.

I really like all their stuff, outside of the Crane Wife; it's just... mediocre as an album. It has three or four good songs, but overall is poor quality in both musical structure and lyrics.
