Your experiences? Good? Bad? I dunno, mine seem to last around 15-20 hours. Already used up the first 2 that came with the console. Zelda seems to drain them super-fast, even though I turned off the Wiimote speaker since the beginning. My second set (Energizer) is at 3/4. Time to buy rechargeables, I guess. |

I have two remotes, and my first one ran out a few days ago while playing Zelda (and like you, I turned off the remote radio at the beginning). It doesn't seem to last too long, not to mention that it takes three AA batteries. I too am thinking about purchasing rechargeable batteries for the remote. |

I'm about 11 hours into Zelda, and I've probably played about 2-3 solid hours of Wii Sports, and it's at 3/4. I have the speaker turned on, but it's really beginning to grate on my nerves - the quality is so bad that it detracts from everything. |

The speaker, as a result of it's horrible quality I suppose, hardly makes any difference in regards to battery life. And it took about two weeks for me to need new batteries. I'm holding off to see how well the Wii Charge Stand that Joytech is coming out with will do; if that's good I'll grab one of those, but otherwise I'll just use some of the rechargeables lying around the house. |

So, the Wii is like the wavebird and requires batteries instead of an internal rechargable? That sucks :/ Both the Xbox and PS3 controllers plug in to the console to charge. |

Really? My 360 wireless controllers take 2 AA batteries. |

Yeah, the remote needs batteries. And odd decision on Nintendo's part, definetely. I suppose it's cheaper for them... |

They said they had no idea how to add an internal charger for it because of the way it was built. The Nyko thing, though, is just the same as getting 4 NiMH rechargeable batteries though. Except this can only be used for the Wii. And it's more expensive. You can get 8 AA NiMH Energizer E2 Batteries and a Charger for $20 or so. |
