Get it here. Only setting you can customize, unfortunately, is resolution. Averaged 71.24 FPS at 1920x1080 on my rig, however I feel the game should perform a lot better considering what the graphics look like (worst use of the Unreal 3 engine I've ever seen). I was hovering around 20-30 on whatever the highest windowed resolution was. Unimpressive I'm sure, but when you've just come off DigDug (my son loves it) it's not so bad

Why don't you try it full screen? Normally games tend to have a performance boost if you go for that. I'll try this when I get back to the other comp. |

Anything from 70-130 fps on my max resolution (1440 x 900). I didn't wait for the whole thing to end, so I dunno what my average is (I assume that's where you get averages from). Everything looks good...in motion, but closer scrutiny on so many things make it look unpolished. And EXCESSIVE MOTION BLUR for the first demo, seriously. EDIT: Still looking forward to the game though.

While we're discussing resolutions - what are considered "normal" and "high" resolutions for PC monitors these days, and what are games aiming to run at? |

Depends on monitor size more so than resolution really. Most nowadays are AT LEAST 17" (though I think 19" is starting to take over, which is what I have). Most game snowadays have a headache trying to get all the different aspect ratios of resolutions right (the old 4:3, the (normally for TV) widescreen 16:9, the (normally for comp) widescreen 16:10). As to how high it goes, it just depends on how good a monitor you got your hands on really. Like I'm chilling with a 16:10 19" 1440 x 900 monitor. I assume Ren's monitor is a 22" and his resolution is at least 1920 x 1080. That can be considered pretty high already. Higher than that of course do exist but at that point you're probably gonna pay a huge premium for it. |

Really depends on the person but from a PC Gamer perspective: Low: Anything below normal Normal: 1680x1050 High: 1920x1080/1200 Highest: 2560x1600 Unlike consoles, there isn't a specific resolution that games are designed to run on, just whatever your system can handle. |
