I swear I saw something about this in another topic but I failed to locate said topic and thus made this one.

I never played the original SaGa 2 for gameboy. I played and beat 3 and played, owned, and beat 1 a long time ago but I never did look at 2. Well here's my chance. Man I really wish I hadn't sold my copy of SaGa 1. Wonder how much it's going on Ebay these days...

Oh wait I can just emulate it. Duh.

This is really cool news that has flown under the radar.

First of all, the Musashi 2/TWEWY artist is doing the character designs? That could be pretty damn awesome in the SaGa 2 world.

Secondly, I wonder if Ito is going to handle the entire OST or be aided by Sekito like the RS:MS OST. Either way, it promises to be great, because Ito has matured so much as a composer.

Thirdly, SaGa 2! Holy Bloody Chainsaws, Batman! This is probably my favourite game in the series for setting, since I loved the world of it. And it's getting a remake. Here's to decent games getting remakes!

How do I shoot Magi?

...

Now I have to actually dish out the cash for a DS. TWEWY and the next SaGa? I have no choice. Rent can wait, Ki cannot.

I'm really not a fan of the 3-D DS titles square has been pumping out, but it'll be nice to have a new SaGa. I recently played through a full play-through of Albert's chapter in Romancing SaGa with both the good and neutral endings. I also started a Gray game and got about to Event Rank 8 before getting distracted and was going to go for the evil ending once again (as it's been years since I've seen it). Was hoping to also prepare and fight the Jewel Beast in this play through; maybe I'll get back to it eventually.

Remember, if you want to really defeat the jewel beast without tearing out TOO much hair (as it still is a very difficult fight when perfectly prepared), get the chalice. You will REALLY appreciate the fact that it restores all characters' sp and jp, as you will definitely need it every time you need to cast the reraise type spell (can't remember the name, as it has been a while for me too). Jewel Beast does its first overkill attack early enough that you will more-than-likely not have enough jp by normal means to use the spell, and you obviously want to go all out on it (and heal up anyone he hits) between his overkill attacks so you can't stock up your jp either. The chalice does wonders thanks to this....

But just make sure to have it filled as much as possible before the fight, since it can break (and it's a pain going allll the way into the hidden desert town to restore its uses JUST for the JB fight, especially since there's no shortcut way out).

I'll just use the illusion clone + chalice tactic :)
