I haven't played a beat em up this enjoyable in a loooooong time. Well if you don't count Dishwasher: Dead Samurai but that's more a stylistic beat em up as opposed to the classics.

Seriously though if you own a 360 and have access to Xbox live you owe it to yourself to GET this game. The hand drawn graphics look fantastic, the music is very fitting, the game play is simple and addictive, and the game has a great sense of humor and replay value to boot as well.

Factor in online multiplayer, local multiplayer with 1-4 people, leaderboards, over 20 characters to unlock, a good 60 something weapons to use, and you've got a steal at 1200 points. The game does the classic side scrolling arcade beat em genre up justice in so many ways. Trust me on this one guys look into it you'll be glad you did. To be safe you might want to try the demo first.

While I'm at it I'm also going to recommend Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. It's more gritty, dark, bloody, and stylish then castle crashers but the concept is similar. The game is an odd mix of a simplified Ninja Gaiden combo system with a dash of Devil May Cry style. The game plays out like a noir graphic novel and is loads of fun.

The graphics are really freaking cool to look at. They really have a style all their own. The music is good, the play control is good, 2 player co-op for both story and the 50 levels in arcade mode, factor in challenge mode and leader boards and I've got nothing to complain about.

Don't let the name scare you away or fool you. Look. into. this. game.

I'd love to Exalted but as Deiser stated my internet isn't good enough for online play. Then again I've never tried playing anything online via Xbox live though I doubt it'll work.

Trust me Justin, it won't. You need a constant connection, whereas Satellite sends its stuff in packets. The only reason I think you can stay connected to PSU and such is because it focuses far more on instanced dungeons, and I notice that the instances are always set to the speed of the slowest-connected person (so if a person with high lag - not you, just an example - came into my instance, I'd notice that it'd take longer for my attacks to register damage).

Caste Crashers and the like would probably need constant streaming, unless the players would like to see the enemies and other players teleporting all over the place.

Also, lol satellite. > : D

...I notice that the instances are always set to the speed of the slowest-connected person (so if a person with high lag - not you, just an example - came into my instance, I'd notice that it'd take longer for my attacks to register damage).

This happens with P2P networks and most 'match-making' services use it, like Live/G4WL for example. And it's even worse with PC games because it syncs everyone to the slowest running computer.

It's a pretty good method for catching cheaters/hackers though, because if one client is detected to have data that the others don't, then everyone disconnects.

oh and yeah, don't try it, unless you want to piss people off.
