Have to say although this a.m. started early and painful....cats decided at 5:15 to do a chase across the bed and put 3 deep scratches across my thigh.....I gave up sleep and watched the light starting up, peace, silence, cottontails munching on the lawn, lizards, birds, our resident giant hawk, jack rabbits, and tiny chipmunks. Finally the lake is quiet, jet boats from afar were hear for the weekend. Although lots of work and stress ahead, I'm taking time out for me to just watch the beauty, tiny bit of wind blowing the trees, light still with a slight golden hue. Yep, keeping this in my head for the day until this evening, watching cloud formations turn color with the most vibrant colors I've ever seen. Fighting a long time with the move from native CA filled with trees in the foothills, to NV with towering mountains at high desert and many valleys, the beauty is where you find it. This is truly peace. May it be as beautiful where ever you are. It's our perception of our surroundings that make it stand out.

What a lovely way of telling us to "step back and smell the roses". God's beauty is all around us...we just need to take the time out of our busy schedules to look at it!! Thanks for the reminder, imachildagain...You're terrific!!
