Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

well the GRAU is a group of nations agreeing to the following
For Roleplay.

The GRA Union Constitution

Developed by the Greenpeace, the following Constitution shall be adapted by all member nations when involved in GRA matters:

Preamble

We the Members of the GRA Union, in our strive to create Global Peace and Security, promise to uphold the principles of this organisation in seeking out inequality and oppression everywhere and encouraging creation of a global situation with equality and support for All.

Article One – Membership of the GRA Union
1. Any nation that has an acceptable human rights record and fair democratic elections may petition to join the GRA Union.
2. Membership of the GRA Union will be determined by a majority vote by existing members of the GRA Union.
3. Any member of the GRA Union may voluntarily submit a cancellation of membership. No reprisals will occur because of this cancellation.
4. Members of the GRA Union may be banned by a majority vote by existing members (See Definition 1 for “ban”.)

Article Two - Voting
1. Members of the GRA Union are allowed one (1) vote each to use in casting their decision regarding matters brought to vote.
2. Member nations have the right to bring resolutions to the forum regarding matters that require voting.
3. Resolutions that become deadlocked through voting will be considered failed and will not pass.
4. Resolutions that fail voting may be brought again to revote.
5. In cases where it is vital that decision making is made quickly, any 2 two states will each maintain a veto power (Rotated power of veto) on proposed resolutions before the members of the GRA Union.

Article Three – Wars
(See Definition 2 for "War")
1. Member nations defending against an invasion are automatically entitled to support from other members of the GRA Union, the degree of support depending on the individual situation of each member nation.
2. Member nations entering unilateral offensive action may not petition for official support from the GRA Union.
3. Petitions for offensive military action by the GRA Union as a group must display clear evidence as to the requirement of this action to ensure the survival of the GRA Union and uphold the principles outlined in this Constitution’s preamble.
4. If said Resolution passes successfully, member nations are obligated to provide support for the offensive action, the extent of the support depending on the individual situation of each member nation.
5. No member nation of the GRA Union may declare war on any other member of the GRA Union without provocation.

Article Four – Nuclear, Biological, Bacteriological and Chemical (NBBC) Deterrents
1. The right of member nations of the GRA Union to maintain NBBC deterrents shall not be infringed
2. No member nation of the GRA Union may use NBBC weapons on another member nation of the GRA Union unless attacked with NBBC weapons first.
3. Member nations of the GRA Union that are attacked with NBBC weapons are automatically entitled to support from other members of the GRA Union in the form of a retaliatory attack.
4. Any country unilaterally using NBBC weapons in an offensive war will may not petition for official backing of the GRA Union.
5. Battlefield NBBC weapons use in offensive wars involving the GRA Union as a group (as stated in point 4. of Article Four) are prohibited for use unless used first by the opposing force.

Article Five – Trade
1. Member nations of the GRA Union will not place any trade restrictions on other member nations of the GRA Union unless in retaliation to said practice.
2. Member nations of the GRA Union are entitled to organise their own trade and cannot be forced into any trade they do not wish.

Article Six – Additions and Amendments
1. Member nations of the GRA Union are entitled to propose Amendments and Additions to this Constitution, including but not limited to the proposal of new institutions and organisations within the GRA Union.
2. Proposed Amendments or Additions to the Constitution must be decided upon by a majority vote by member nations of the GRA Union.
3. Proposed Amendments or Additions put forward must include the proposed addition/change to the text of the Constitution to be considered by member nations of the GRA Union.

Definitions:
1) “Ban” refers to the permanent expulsion of member nations of the GRA Union from the aforementioned organisation.
2) “War” in this context refers to conventional warfare including, but not limited to offensive or defensive actions, police actions or insurgencies. Unconventional warfare is covered in Article Four

It is sort of like the UN
