Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

Well i dont know who of you actually play this game, but i do religiously (damn low grades thanks to it too...). Either way i have just accomplished the greatest feat ever! I swam in the water from Hinterlands, all the way to Quel Thalas (which is unavailable at this time), found a little secret area, and then swam from there all the way to Tristfal Glades! The swim took me two hours with only slight respite from walking on mountains. Thats right! I DID IT! :P

If it were free, or even if it were a pay once thing instead of pay monthly, i'd play it, but I'm not paying $15 a month. I'll stick to Civilization...

Make a druid, get to 30, then do it in 30 minutes.

WoW was getting boring for me by the time January came (keep in mind WoW came out in late November, and I played the OB from early November).

It's like the kiddie-version of MMORPGs, and it killed me on the genre a bit, too, because everything's just... too easy. They also managed to kill the game even more by adding in more Raid-items, which just screw up the Skill Vs. 1337 item war, making it even less fun.

Lol easy? Lol i dont consider it easy. Think about it? You have to face a lvl 400 monster, and the max lvl in the game is 60. Now thats a challenge ;)

Neal, you've only played one MMORPG, you can't talk.

To kill the level 400 monster, you get a raid of what? 20-40 people?

There are monsters in the old game I played could easily take 60 people, and even then still you could lose.

That's surprising, I didn't think you'd played others. :P

Here's the question, though: How high in them did you get? ;P

Then it doesn't matter too much. :P Generally to get a good opinion of the game, you want to be max level/2. : P

The game is still essentially the same. That's why I managed to get bored of it in 3-4 months. The finish wears off it faster than other games. I managed to last 10 months or so in WoW, taking many short-normal breaks and everything, at most. In DAoC, I lasted a good 3 years, taking maybe 2-4 breaks (note: a break is about a month).

Plus the fact that they added in the BGs just killed it for me. If I want to play a freaking FPS, I'll go and play BF2 or something. I don't want to play an FPS when I'm playing WoW. They did a horrible job on the BGs (and I'm not even mentioning the 30+ minute lines to get in!)

Hey the BG's are cool. It add organized PVP so you dont have to worry about being continuously ganked all the time. Its a fair fight! Whats wrong with that?

The idea is good - the implementation is absolute crap. That's what's wrong with it.

And I'm sorry, but the fact that the whole point of the BG is the capture a flag, just kills it, too. Make it... ya know... make sense. Capture territory, a keep or something - not a freaking flag.

Lol Liam thats just one of the BGs :P One of them is destroy the Enemy's towers and then finally their NPC general. Another is capture the flag, and the other is conquest (capture territories). So they have some good mix.

Alrighty, so they added one. I just remember the FPS one (the one where most people were, incidently), and the field-war type one (I can't remember the specifics), where it was either too laggy or too empty.

Regardless, the lines were just rediculous.
