Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

Yeah could be.

I'm thinking of taking War Studies, King's has a good department but I won't get the grades so I'm looking at Wolves, Kent or Leeds.

as for recommendations, unless youv got a career in mind then simply pick something you can relate to and enjoy for 3-7 years (depending on the subject and course!) so you dont get bored.

where to go? again depends, if your ambitious or extremely old fashioned then the oxbridge uni's along with the other older and more established unis such as durham, lse, bristol, exeter, etc are always fun. however if you want a more relaxed (less public school) atmosphere then pick somewhere nice!

in my experience it doesnt matter where you go or what you do there, as long as your interested youll meet great people and have a great time, and if your lucky youll come out with a qualification, if your not then youv just had the best few years of your life so far.

I forgot about this thead... the reason that I'm 16 and going to university next year is that when I was in grade 8, my mom essentially got sick of the public system and took me out, and put me into a private school - which at the time had no grade 8, so they just put me into grade 9. :)

Oh, and I turn 17 in December. :P

the war studies department at Kings is SUPER!!!

i suggest reading Phillip Bobbit's (who lectures at Kings) book:

The Shield of Achilles: War, Peace, and the Course of History

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/037541292...glance&n=283155

i dont agree with his conclusions, but his methodology and style is really, very good.

edit- another damn typo
