Sorry to break the European military party. I'm a tank driver (M1A2 baby!!!) in the US Army National Guard (WA state) In my civilian life I work in landscaping... Pesticide and all that good stuff... fun job! |

I could never join the army I’m afraid, too much innate will to self-preservation and dislike of large, grunting men. I could just about hack being in a bunker a few miles behind the front line, ordering soldiers to their death... Don’t think they would ever let me in though; skinny; chain smoking 'intellectuals' just don't conform to the military image. And the exercise!!! As (the only) funny Irishman once said: 'Whenever I feel like exercising, I take a lie down until the sensation passes' |

I don't think I could join the army. I wouldn't fit in, on the first night I'd be ordering a bunch of chavs who'd gone into military service because they failed at their education so badly to praise the good Lord for such a wonderful day. I doubt I'd come out alive. |

yeah... try reading my post throughly...i actually refer to the intelligence corps/being a h'officer in my 'hiding miles behind the front line...sending soldiers to their death' thing.. and the gym...see the Oscar Wilde quote. if you are going to attempt to attack me, please do it without humiliating yourself, as ultimately, it becomes less fun for me (as you make for a very poor meal). edit-relevance |
